Marasmius mushrooms which sprouted after heavy rainfall.
These adorable mushrooms often resemble small parasols, with the side of the cap curving inward with the gills - the gills themselves arranged quite spatially. This gives the mushroom the shape of a small parachute, and with the stems often being thin and barely noticeable, their caps cover the garden in tiny little fairy parasols.
The specimens above were collected amongst the grass, though their small size makes them hard to spot. Looking forward for the rain's return during this heatwave to look for more mushrooms (though hopefully the flooding doesn't return).

FOTD #063 : marasmius tageticolor! (x)
marasmius tageticolor (no common name) is an agaric fungus in the family marasmiaceae. it is found in mexico, central america & south america. it grows on small twigs & stipules :-)
the big question : can i bite it?? the edibility is currently unknown.
m. tageticolor description :
"the smooth, convex cap is 10–17 mm (0.4–0.7 in) in diameter. its surface colouration features alternating radial rays of red & light buff. the gills are distantly spaced, with about 8–10 gills per fruit body. red on the upper half near the cap & white on the lower half, they are free from attachment to the stipe. there are short gills (lamellulae) interspersed between some, but not all, of the long gills. the smooth stipe measures 3–4 cm (1.2–1.6 in) long by 1 mm wide, & has a beet red to dull brown colour. there is buff-coloured cottony mycelium at the stipe base."
