So Riverdale: worth it or nah?
Oooo. That’s a toughy.
I never read any of the OG Archie comics so I’m not sure how well it holds up to canon. But - I will say that I enjoy watching it, but more in the ‘wow this is kind of ridiculous but I also can’t look away’ kind of way?
There’s a lot of drama, which keeps it entertaining but I feel like if the series is to progress in the way that it does - it could quickly become exhausting. Also, it’s built around this entire cliffhanger whodunnit so I get the feeling like they’re going to resolve it & then be like “jk tHAT WAS JUST A FRONT THERE’S ACTUALLY A WHOLE NOTHER SEASON OF PLOT TWIST”
But then again, those are just presumptions. A major positive is that the fandom makes some gorgeous gifsets that make me wanna cry. So if you want some major color porn, hit those up.
Overall, I’d say give it a few episodes to see if you’re interested or if you are just wanting something to watch but it’s certainly not something I’m heavily invested into.
