Marchus Annus - Final Day!

I decided to end this a little early because I was rather proud of this animation, and wanted to end it on a high note.  Looking back at my first attempts at the beginning of the month, I can see how much I’ve improved. That being said, I still have a long way to go. Hopefully I can stick to it, and keep uploading to help track my progress and keep myself accountable. This has been a lot of fun, and I look forward to whatever challenge Unus Annus presents next!

I think it’d be a great tribute if we did this again. In fact, i saw a new video on YouTube of someone doing guitar this month for it!

The imperative ending / tense: asking someone to please do something. You actually hear it all the time with 안녕하세요 / 안녕히 계세요 / 안녕히 가세요! You’re asking people to be in peace whether it’s when you greet them or you ask them to stay or go in peace. 

Verb stem ending in a consonant + -으세요

Verb stem ending in a vowel + -세요

Verb stem ending in the consonant ㄹ - ㄹ + -세요

Examples: 

먹다  To eat > 먹으세요 Please eat

오다 To come > 오세요 Please come

울다 to cry > 우세요 Please cry (you’re more than likely never going to use this but I thought it was funny and was a  ㄹ  verb stem so hey! I’m definitely going to remember this rule now because I found it so funny)

접다 to fold >  접으세요 Please fold it

쉬다 to sleep > 쉬세요 Please sleep / Please get some rest

Marchus Annus is over already?? I thought we just started this mess!  

I really want to thank Mark and Ethan for putting out this challenge, though!  I didn’t know I had it in me to record and edit a video every single day!  What started out as 1 hour a day drawing turned into like... 5 hours a day, lol.  10/10 would do again!

This isn't quite #MarchusAnnus material since I got a head start, but it's been exactly TWO MONTHS since I started wood burning. Today, I decided to recreate my very first wood burning to comprehend my progress I've made...

I don't think anybody understands how happy this makes me. I didn't know how much I needed a creative outlet until I found one that was right for me. I used to draw way back when, but it quickly became extremely unenjoyable because I was busy comparing myself too often to others. With wood burning, there's a lot less people to compare myself to... Which, in my case, is perfect! And ever since my journey with this began, I don't think I've ever been this happy in a looooooong time. I spent so many years consuming content, that I didn't see myself ever being able to create content... But here I am. So, if you ever want to try something out, just DO IT. That sounds like a cliche at this point, but good ol' Wayne Gretzky said, "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take." And he's right. So, go try that thing you've been hesitant to try! And if it doesn't work out, that's okay. It doesn't mean you failed. It means that you've LEARNED. Just keep looking ahead and trying until something sticks and makes you happy.
