Marc/Jake kabedon. (Two palette variations…I was trying to do a color study based on another artist, neither of them really succeeded.)

Marcstevenjake thoughts. Jake standing between Marc and Steven after days away ensnared in violence. Cuts and bruises all over him, nursing a nasty split lip. Marc draped over his back as Jake stands motionless, breathing heavily — his mind is static. But Marc’s arms around him aren’t tight, or suffocating. He simply holds Jake with his face slotted against Jake’s nape. It’s so warm. Steven who patches up his cuts with so much tenderness, murmuring softly when Jake doesn’t so much as wince. Jake resting his chin in Steven’s cupped palm. Staring at Steven, his eyes so deep and unblinking, his singular red iris like a concentrated forest fire. Steven telling him “we’ve got you, Jake” and feeling Marc’s hand right against his heart. Jake staring and staring into Steven’s kind eyes, Marc’s breath soft and warm against his neck, and feeling himself relax incrementally until his own eyes slide closed. Steven pressing a kiss against his throat, then his cheek, then his closed lids. Jake sighs, and the weight of both Marc and Steven against him is as reassuring as ever. They’ve got him.

if im being entirely real, i kinda hate how the mcu moon knight fandom ignores marc spector in lieu of steven grant. no one ever gives marc all the soft treatment that they give ‘precious cinnamon roll steven’ and it pisses me off. there’s so much jakesteven art that legit doesn’t even mention marc. he deserves so much better than this fandom only using him for his alters.
