Crimson Noise || Marco & Anaks
His heavy heels noiselessly met the carpeted floor of the hallway. Tucking his room key into a sleeve of his wallet as he strode down the lonely hallway, Marco kept his mind as blank as he could will it. The white circular button lit up as a calloused finger pressed the floor to which according to the lobby was hers. It didn't come as much of surprise to him that he was able to knock all thought and conscience out of his head. He'd been raised to do so and allowed him to do what was asked even if deep down he felt there was another way. Though what he was facing wasn't a job, it required much more courage to initiate.
The high class elevator rung open and a nearly identical hallway appeared as the doors gracefully split. One foot in front of the other, Marco had his shoulders straight as always, but his eyes rapt weak with lack of sleep. However much he snubbed his dissuading thoughts, they remained decipherable in his enigmatic brown eyes. Leaving three steady knocks on door number 320, Marco called upon a stoic expression and ran his hand through his half gelled hair.
A few desperate moments passed until he saw a thin line of brightening orange replace the black underneath the door due to what once was a lightless hotel room. The clicking of locks behind the door sent the scarlet organ underneath his chest battering like the wings of a panicked cardinal in a cage. The door began to open and at the first glimpse of her olive skin and bang-hooded eyes, Marco's enlisted armor fell apart. His shoulders dropped, his eyes softened to a pleading look and mouth took a slight frown. "I'm sorry I woke you up." His low voice whispered. "I can't bear this anymore."
