Birds twittered though the dark sky hid them from Marco’s view. Their song only meant it was around three or four in the morning. He was used to late nights and early morning sounds. To those trained to have a suspicious disposition, empty streets could be as loud as New York’s time square.
A job now complete and participants scattered, Marco took a drag from his cigarette. Sleep wasn’t happening tonight, which was why he stood smoking a cigarette outside a 24-hour diner. And besides the bags under his eyes, Marco didn’t look like he’d just come from a large drug for money exchange. He was wearing a gray suit but he left the blazer in his black Audi. Just when he flicked the ashy bud to the concrete, Marco saw just who he’d been waiting for. Once she was in ear shot, his gruff voice said, “I thought you’d be here.”

"I’m sorry it’s so late, or if you’re busy, I just had to see you.” Rushing through the words, she fingers the edge of her sweatshirt and rolls her shoulders slightly as if the action is going to ease this tension in her gut. Nothing about him eases the tension in her body, but yet she finds herself here, yet again, unsure why she keeps showing up at the most inopportune times. He probably thinks she’s stalking him; she’s fairly certain he doesn’t take her existence into consideration. And she’d be okay with that if she wasn’t so... desperate.

Wedged against cold metal, Sophie Ann actually pouts because she's spent the past five minutes trying to wiggle her foot free from the bungee chord she'd been caught in; hook line and sinker. She'd managed to hide this far, unsure what'd possessed her to climb into the vehicle with only her phone as her possession, but after watching their show three nights in a row the entire time they'd been in Los Angeles? She was drawn to him in a way she'd never been drawn to anyone; drawn to freedom, to leaving behind what anger and upset lay behind her. Another clunk of her boot against metal and she winces, because she doesn't want to be caught. If she's caught, chances are she'll be tossed onto the side of the road and she can't really afford to find her own way back home right now. Then again, she'd never quite planned on what she would do about traveling in secret - one doesn't actually wake up in the morning and aspire to be a stow-away. Another clunk and her brows furrow, a soft sound escaping her lips as she tumbles from the vehicle - meeting pavement with her hands braced before her, cement scratching over her palms. Hissing, Sophie Ann crawls onto her knees to wipe her hands on her jeans, nearly jumping out of her skin upon the shout of surprise behind her. "Jesus fucking Christ," she hisses, spinning around and leaning against the side of the vehicle - palms bleeding from where she'd caught herself, her wide gaze lifted to the lead singer of the band she'd been traveling with for the past week and a half.

"You should be careful while you're taking a piss out there. All I'm saying; you never know where snakes are hidin'." Casey teases, folding her book closed and dropping it to her lap - amusement present on her face.
"He told me what you have planned, Potter, and I'm telling you right now, I will go straight to McGonagall myself if you go through with it. The idea," Lily scoffed exasperatedly, her arms crossed.
It was like a hazy cloud, a perfect hazy cloud full of something that love couldn't touch, it was far more perfect than that. Foster laughed softly, being quiet as if anything more than a whisper would break the bubble they seemed to be consumed in. He took her hand, sliding his fingers through hers and bringing the back of her hand up to his lips, pressing sweet kissing to her soft skin as he pulled her close. "Perfect." He mummbled against her skin. "Did you know that? You're perfect." He repeated himself. He never thought he would find himself in this position, cuddled up with someone who actually makes him happy, under the the star with the moon being their only source of light. The way it hit her skin, it was beauitful, romantic, and alluring. Foster leaned down, pressing small kisses along her jawline. "You know, I never thought I could have so much fun wasting time with someone." His voice was slightly muffled, his mind was filled with nothing but the sweet scent of her. "It's safe to say, you make me the happiest guy alive."
