So my current project is constructing the character Mařenka from my design last term for The Bartered Bride.
In this project, I designed Mařenka as a storm, which worked well for her stormy personality, but I also wanted to show her more subdued side that comes out at the end of the opera which, in this case, means: TRANSFORMING DRESS
I have a few toiles together and I’ve been working on final textiles just for the bodice so far, and I think it’s going well.
