Marek looked at the young man with the bullet wound he had found before. He could tell this man was a pirate but he actually couldn’t care less about that. In fact it didn’t make any difference to him who he was helping, even though he was a marine. Pirate or not, this man was still a person and an injured one at that, and therefore Marek felt obliged to help.
It wasn’t easy to get a grip of the bullet, especially not with the gloves Marek had put on, but luckily he had quite slender fingers.
“Okay, hold still. This is going to hurt.”
Marek took a deep breath and with an abrupt tug he pulled the bullet out. Setting it aside he started to clean and bandage the wound. When he was finished, he looked at the other man again.
“Do you feel better now?”
