Admittedly, both the Lost and Ruined kingdoms from Mario Odyssey do look a bit llike how I pictured some parts of abandoned Pallandian Territory to look like.

The main point here is that large sections of land were effectively abandoned due to no longer being safe for habitation... Or they just forgot how.

The "Age of gods" did a real number on the nation's technological and social development as much as it harmed the environment.

As such, creations from their peak are probably scattered all over the place.

Thinking on it, the Ruined Kingdom from Mario Odyssey do kind of remind me of some places in Pallandia.

At least some of the old, forgotten places.

Of course, I also do see a bit of it in the Lost Kingdom as well, but for different reasons.

Hopefully Toadette doesn’t mind the inquisition from a certain crimson haired royal that was visiting the castle at this time.

She was a striking beauty with long crimson red curls and dressed in a particularly ornate green dress with a gold crown and complimentary trimmings. Admittedly, though, she doesn’t particularly like wearing the dress, but it was supposed to be a diplomatic visit, so the outfit had to stay on and pants and t-shirts would have to wait.

Also... she was rather curious about power-ups since they don’t exist in her kingdom.

“Look... Wings!” Of course Zero was holding onto her back with his wings spread for the look and it made her look more like a fallen angel, but at least Evelyn was trying to have a bit of fun? -- 『❀』...

“Give me a sec...” Sure, they wouldn’t lift her up in the air without her orders, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t give an order for one of her many pets to hold onto Serina’s back and hold her aloft if need be.

Hopefully she doesn’t mind having a fluffy dragon holding onto her like a strange looking backpack? I mean, it was a cute backpack that didn’t conduct any heat, but the whole point was the wings.

Thinking on it though, being able to take to the air would be a fun way to see the sights that weren’t visible from the ground.

To be honest... I am not sure if I should feel sorry or not for Bowser if he did  try kidnapping Evie of all princesses... I mean, she’s deceptive, manipulative, and entirely willing to dupe him into taking her away from the castle only to turn on him in a hilariously one-sided curb stomp battle.

I hope he doesn’t get motion sick easily? Because he’s probably going to be sent spinning Koopa on a back shell all the way back to the Mushroom Kingdom.
