Do you think people ever assumed Danny & Timmy were related because of how similar they look to each other? (Similar art style joke)
Even when you don't count the similar art style joke I'd like to think some might comment on how much they act like siblings with eachother (Danny acts protective towards Timmy and Timmy often looks up to/idolizes Danny but they both cant stand eachother lowkey)
what came to mind is perhaps Jazz just poking fun on how Timmy's like the younger bro Danny's never had. They probably reminded her of herself and Danny when they were younger.
More Sakura action game thoughts, this time with a little Towa City and some user suggestions, woo! Shout out to @eristrocrat and @mariogman25 for them!
If you’d like to see more of this AU, I also have a [Part 0] [Part 1] [Part 2] [Part3] [Part 4] or you can use the Roaring Cherry Blossom tag!
Now some more thoughts below the line. I still have to think about what I want to do with Nagito, maybe for next post unfortunately xD
Towa City:
Like in the drawing and how I drew it in this post, Komaru and Toko would be allies that help you fight along the way through Towa City. You can also pick up Komaru to aim shots yourself and use her different bullets if necessary. Yes including dance.
After saving Kenshiro, he would stay in the future foundation hub and you would be able to talk to him whenever he’s awake. c:
Again, I don’t quite know what to do with Nagito but I do have a few ideas that could work:
(For all of these assume Nagito and Monaca have been separated. He would never bring up his plan after UDG to the main trio.)-
Nagito has no fight. The main challenge is just exploring Towa with Toko/Komaru and trying to find him. He is in a random location every game. Then you are able to take him back to base no problem as he complies with the Neo world plan. But once back at base, he can influence some people about despair from the inside without anyone knowing and it becomes a problem later.
You don’t fight Nagito, you fight his luck cycle. When you find him, he does not agree with the plan so Sakura regrettably knocks him out like the rest of the remnants. While you are carrying him back, bad luck starts affecting you along the way; such as more monokumas than normal catching you off-guard, rain starts falling and you get struck by lightning or some big weight falls on you. It culminates with the helicopter that is supposed to bring you back to base breaking down and Sakura just going on foot instead......Which is miles away. Eventually you learn the patterns of the luck cycle and you can start dodging and “fighting” whatever comes at you.
Similar to fighting his luck cycle but instead his luck cycle keeps preventing you from reaching him. (ex: You are on a bridge, it collapses after a talk) Instead of reaching him on brute force, you have to convince him that being put into the neo world program is good and then his good luck will start working for you.
So like Idk??? What do you guys think??
Mahiru battle:
I say the battle is short because that’s just the confrontation in the auditorium. In reality, Mahiru would be fighting ever since Sakura left remnant state by sending her pictures. A little more about it is written here.
The art gallery/hallway section would be pretty long and many winding paths. Monokumas would be trying to decieve you by handing you false clues and play with your senses by making noises and causing illusions with different photos.
I should mention that I envision Sakura having a “focus” button that would slow things for a second to give you a chance to react to anything. There would also be a sound cue of alert if something outside of your field of vision, but Sakura can hear/notice, appears so you can also react to it.
Because Sakura is on edge in this level, that sound cue will also mislead you to disorient you further. During the final confrontation, the Monokumas could flash cameras at you to stun you out of focus. Yes, it would be annoying but it’s practically the only line of defense Mahiru has at this point.
Mukuro battle:
The point of this fight is to be a fun extra battle and riding the line of non-canon as y’know, her head was blown off. Consider her more a robot made by Kazuichi than human at this point.
Would you rather
Tearer has half of Ryuki's brother's face instead of a grey carapace?
Or
Ryuki's brother having never existed and Ryuki is suffering some severe Mandela Effect?
not gonna lie I saw a fanart of tearer with half of ryuki’s brother’s face on twitter a while ago and that au concept has lived rent free in my mind ever since (can’t find the link rn but if anyone can pls leave it in a reply bc its Great and ppl should get to see it). Its the absolutely perfect delightfully fucked up sort of angst that I think could be really fun. the idea of his brother having never actually existed is an interesting one, but I feel like it’d end up sorta removing some of the impact of a lot of his motivation and stuff, if that makes sense? He’s living for the memory of his brother, so having that all fake would be kinda less interesting to me.
with that first concept though. oh man. oh boy. it could be So much. given the resources that naix had, it’s not impossible to conceptualize, just. extremely super fucked up. (which... fits Naix pretty well considering the shit chikara and tokiko were willing to do lmao stealing half the face of a dead teen wouldn’t be outside the realm of possibility for those two).
(it got long again so the rest under a cut. also edit: found the tweet i was thinking about! cw eye horror/alcohol in the link)
like first of all. just imagine a version of ryuki’s confrontation with tearer 6 years ago at the cathedral where he found that out. he shoots at tearer and breaks half of his mask- the opposite half that date shoots. and you see ryuki’s own face. like. that would Ruin Him even before hitting him with the EM waves to take tama out.
Or alternatively, that confrontation goes the same, but rather than date and bibi seeing “Jin’s” face, they see “Ryuki’s” face- especially considering we literally just saw ryuki and tearer talking face to face, it’d be... the exact sort of wild insane plot twist i would not put past Uchikoshi lmao.
so while the player is just absolutely losing their mind over “what the fuck did ryuki’s twin survive somehow” the story keeps moving on, and then you find the half a body in the cathedral, and its “ryuki”. so there’s that moment of “WHAT THE FUCK NO-” before you realize its uru and great googly moogly its all gone to shit.
shoutouts to that meaning ryuki would basically have to see his brother’s dead body. Again. but this time its his face being worn by a serial killer, the exact sort of person Yukuto wanted to Stop. that would be, uh, deeply upsetting to someone like him! I will say, if anything, I feel like it’d make Ryuki just hate Tearer even more- like, he already hates criminals. Knowing that a very dangerous and violent criminal had literally stolen his brother’s face? Oh Man would that piss him off.
It’d also be very interesting to see how that could further play around with Amame and Ryuki’s relationship and parallels- how she views him and thinks of him, having killed someone with half a face that looked just like his. Would she hate him for thinking he’d related to Tearer? Or would she freak out a bit more, feeling like she’s being haunted by the person she killed? Plenty of interesting options.
Also I just. would Desperately hope that the epilogue would include more talk between ryuki and the mizukis and them like... checking in to make sure he’s ok. like. christ that’s some additional trauma to add to the trauma pile. it’d be a very interesting way to link Ryuki back to Horadori more though.
Honestly if we get a DLC or a third game I’m very curious if Uchikoshi has any more plans to expand upon Ryuki’s past. the fact that he’s suggested a name for his twin but hasn’t actually committed to one (and specifically stated its not Canon), plus a handful of older twitter replies abt ppls thoughts on ryuki, makes me hope so. I’d really love to see more about him he’s so interesting.
cursed idea for @mariogman25: Akira only knows about Free Bird not because of his actual music, but because Priest Unryu is his biggest fan and had Free Bird stuff plastered all over a hidden chamber in the temple.
Unryu just loves the idea of someone having “bird” in their stage name and being the brother of a guy named “The Eagle”.
And despite being a religious man, he actually really loves the music… mainly because birds court through song.
Either way, Free Bird does not know how to handle it and it’s probably the biggest case of an unwanted admirer he’s ever had.
I have to ask. What is the definition of Humonculous? I keep trying to find it, but all I get is that freak "Senses Man" and various non-definitons. I always assumed it meant "Human-type like construct of flesh" or just w "pile of living flesh" like that one scene from Akira.
SIMPLY PUT, A HOMONCULUS IS A SYNTHETIC HUMAN
BASICALLY, BACK IN THE 3RD CENTURY AN ALCHEMIST NAMED ZOSIMOS OF PANOPOLIS WAS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHERE THE SELF, THE THING YOU REFER TO WHEN YOU SAY “I EXIST,” WAS PHYSICALLY LOCATED IN YOUR BODY, HE CALLED IT THE “ANTHROPARION” MEANING “LITTLE HUMAN“ LATINIZED AS “HOMONCULUS“
LATER IN THE 7TH CENTURY A MUSLIM ALCHEMIST NAMED JABIR IBN HAYYAN READ THE WORK OF ZOSIMOS AND THEORIZED ABOUT TAKWIN, THE SYNTHESIS OF HUMAN LIFE
THEN EVEN LATER IN 1537, A SWISS ALCHEMIST NAMED PARACELSUS PUBLISHED DE NATURA RERUM, WHICH DETAILED IN GRISLY DETAIL HOW HE WENT ABOUT CREATING A HOMONCULUS
Just a couple questions, genuinely curious. Did you watch the whole episode of GG playing DR or were you yelling about hearsay? Because yes it's true what Arin said got the fandom in a tizzy again, but by the end he corrected himself, and can you blame him for misinterpreting a strange and somewhat confusion situation?
I don't mean any sarcasm, by the way. Your take is genuine, but I wish to add some clarifying information. The Fandom is just kind of like that, unfortunately. It's why I stay out of public discussion of it, just enjoying whatever art I come across.
I saw a tweet from some idiot calling Arin “Based” for it and immediately started seeing red because I’m so.
fucking.
Sick.
of this bullshit.
I lost what respect I had of Arin and quit watching GG years ago, so I hope you can forgive me if I didn’t really feel like subjecting myself to more of Arin’s potential dipshittery.
But thanks for the clarification nonetheless. It still leaves me irate that he basically encouraged the Discourse Crusaders to get rowdy again, but if that’s true then good on him for actually taking the L for once.
