Silver scurf, Helminthosporium Solani, on Maris Piper tubers just lifted from the soil. Silver scurf normally develops in store so to have it visible from the field is not good. The scurf will continue to develop in store but can be slowed by rapidly drying and cooling the tubers. The tuber will eventually shrivel due to moisture loss.
