MARK LESLIE AND HAROLD CHAPMAN (BOW BELLS) [photographic postcard, circa 1910s]
...for he subscribes to the notion that it is places (like houses, residences, and public buildings) that are the scenes of hauntings... my own position is that in most instances of reported hauntings, whether by ghosts or poltergeists, it is people rather than places who are haunted. This was also the position of George and Iris Owen, Canada's most widely respected "ghost hunters". Indeed, Iris was known to say, "Parapsychology is people." Without a person present there is no ghostly presence. Perhaps it takes a person and a place to raise a ghost.

Dying with AIDS, Living with AIDS 1991-1992 1993 Mark Leslie
‘Dying with AIDS, Living with AIDS 1991-1992’ is a personal, photographic social documentation of Mark Leslie’s battle with AIDS. Leslie studied photography in Montreal in the 1990’s whilst fighting the virus, and through this book he documented images of his body’s metamorphosis due to the effect of the virus. Unfortunately, little is known and written about Leslie’s life, but this book pays homage to his strength, creativity and courage.
A Canadian mystery writer lives in New York city and gets involved in some supernatural/criminal hijinx. Also, he’s a werewolf (which is kind of obvious right from the cover, so, like, not a spoiler).
This book started life as a stand-alone short story called “This Time Around”. I read that and totally loved it. The author has a nice touch and a good sense of humor so I was interested to see how the whole story played out. The short story serves as the start of the book, rolling into the continued action.
