On Sunday, President Donald Trump appeared on "Meet The Press" only for the interview to end abruptly when Trump, unable to steamroll NBC’s Kristen Welker when she insisted that he provide evidence to support the myriad of false claims he made, instead insulted Welker and stormed off.
Normally, one would think that seeing the nearly 80-year-old leader of the country behave in such a childishly petulant manner would be an embarrassment to his supporters, but that is obviously not the case with the MAGA cultists on the "FlashPoint" program.
"FlashPoint" was launched ahead of the 2020 elections to mobilize conservative Christians to support Trump's reelection and has remained an obsequiously pro-Trump propaganda production ever since.
After playing a clip of Trump walking out of the "Meet The Press" interview during Monday night's episode, "FlashPoint" host Gene Bailey praised it as "classic President."
"I'm enjoying that," Bailey declared.
"It's just absolutely beautiful," agreed fellow Trump cultist Mark Meckler of Convention of States. "Everything he's saying is absolutely true. I would add on top of it that she's disrespecting the president and disrespecting the office of president. She's just generally rude. Her parents obviously raised her incorrectly. She was not raised in the church. She was not raised by a family that understood just basic decency and manners. And I love to see him verbally slapping her around. She deserves it. She's part of the corrupt media. She's a big part of the problem with this country."

Meckler is a radical Christian nationalist who serves as president of the Convention of States Foundation which seeks to get state legislatures to call for a dangerous Article V convention that will propose constitutional amendments to dramatically limit the power of the federal government.
From the start of Trump’s trial, Meckler has repeatedly demanded that Republicans “engage in full lawfare” against Democrats as retribution, calling on every district attorney in every conservative county in every red state to bring “the most brutal changes we can possibly bring” against every Democrat they can. But now Meckler has kicked things up a notch by calling for New York City to be walled off and removed from the union.
“We ought to build a wall around New York City. We ought to close off the bridges and we ought to separate them from the United States of America,” Meckler declared, saying he was only being “semi-facetious.” “There is no rule of law in New York City anymore. There is no due process in New York City anymore. There is no United States Constitution in New York City anymore. It operates as if it doesn’t believe in the rule of law, it doesn’t believe in the United States Constitution, so let’s just cut them out. Let them figure it out on their own. Let’s see how well New York City does without the rest of the country.”

Mark Meckler is a Christian nationalist political activistand right-wing commentator, the sort who brags about being "a radical, right-wing, Tea Party, Bible-thumping, gun-toting conservative" and praises President Donald Trump for supposedly having rescued the word "retard" from the woke thought police.
Meckler is also the co-founder and president of the Convention of States Foundation, a conservative organization that seeks to get state legislatures to call for an Article V convention to propose constitutional amendments that will dramatically limit the power of the federal government. It was in this capacity that Meckler appeared on his organization's monthly "COS At Home" program last week and demonstrated the perils of living in the MAGA media bubble.
During the program, Meckler and host Jonathan Viaud discussed Trump's ongoing obsession with acquiring Greenland. Meckler praised Trump's efforts to acquire the nation, particularly his decision to deploy a hospital ship to the region.
"There was a really interesting thing that happened recently [that] most people didn't pay attention to in the news," Meckler said. "He sent a mercy ship, a surgical ship to Greenland to provide medical care for Greenlanders, because apparently the medical system there is a disaster and they are not provided that kind of support from Europe. So I think now what he's going to do is use the candy part of the [negotiation]—like we can help you out, we're going to make you guys wealthier, we're going to make you healthier—and ultimately, I think that means he gets to whatever agreement he wants on Greenland.

Perhaps the reason that people weren't aware of this news is because it never happened. Like so much else with Trump, this was nothing more than a confusing announcement made by the president via social media. The entire idea was completely divorced from reality, rejected by Greenland, and never occurred, as the Wall Street Journal reported.

Last Friday, the Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh held a rally in Tennessee against gender-affirming care, a follow-up to his targeted misinformation campaign against Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. Footage from the rally, which included speeches from Walsh, Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), and other media figures and local politicians, shows that it attracted a cadre of extremists, including members of the violent Proud Boys extremist group and multiple protesters brandishing signs explicitly calling for violence against medical professionals. Following the rally, Walsh called the protesters “normal decent Americans” while Blackburn said she was “proud” to have participated.
Walsh, an opportunist who has committed himself to an anti-trans crusade, recently claimed to be “building a nationwide organized movement” to target hospitals and medical providers with harassment after helping to drive harassment against Boston Children’s Hospital. After the facility reported threats against doctors and staff, Walsh continued to target the facility, which later received more than one bomb threat. In September, Walsh targeted Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital with similar false claims and mischaracterizations of procedures offered to minors, falsely claiming the hospital would “castrate, sterilize, and mutilate minors as well as adults.”
The efficacy of gender-affirming medical care for trans youth, and the serious psychological risks of denying that care, have been shown by numerous studies, and such care is supported by every major medical organization in America.
Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital responded to Walsh by saying it did not provide gender-affirming genital surgeries for trans youth but would temporarily cease other gender-affirming surgeries for minors, despite such surgeries having very low rates of regret. Following the success of his targeting of Vanderbilt, Walsh announced the rally at the Tennessee state capitol on October 21, which was billed as “The Rally to End Child Mutilation.”
Walsh’s rally attracted extremists, some of whom explicitly called for violence against medical professionals
Leading up to the rally, Walsh, who has a history of promoting or defending political violence, continually targeting healthcare providers and the LGBTQ community, comparing doctors who provide gender-affirming care to Nazis, calling for police to “[break] down the doors” of establishments hosting drag events, and tweeting he was “not just reporting” on the trans health clinic at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital but was “going to put a stop to it.”
Footage of the rally streamed by Walsh and local news outlets on YouTube showed multiple attendees at Walsh’s rally directly calling for violence against doctors, with one attendee’s sign reading “Doctors who mutilate children should be killed.”
The sign was visible at the front of the crowd for the duration of the rally, including during speeches by Walsh and Blackburn. The man holding the sign, who can be seen cheering for Matt Walsh during a speech by Tea Party activist Matt Meckler, was also recorded by local media confronting counter-protesters before the rally yelling, “No mutilators, mutilators go home.”

Walsh and other speakers at the rally used incendiary language directing anger at medical professionals
In addition to Walsh, speakers at the rally included GOP state politicians from Tennessee, who earlier this year passed multiple anti-trans bills (helping to perpetuate mental health crisis among trans youth in the state), and Blackburn, who used the confirmation hearing for Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson to push anti-trans talking points. Other speakers included Tulsi Gabbard, Dr. Colin Wright, and Chloe Cole.
During the rally, Walsh engaged the crowd with incendiary language, asking the audience, “As Tennesseans, do we believe in castrating children? Do we believe in that? Do we believe in drugging and mutilating kids?” Walsh added, “They believe in it.” He continued, saying, “I'm not going to leave it to my kids to fight this fight. We don't leave it to our kids. We stand up and we fight. It isn't our kids’ battle,” before going on to characterize his “fight” as “a battle of good versus evil.”

Walsh's extreme anti-trans rhetoric baselessly calling gender-affirming healthcare for trans youth "child mutilation" has fueled attacks against children's hospitals
Soros-backed groups show up regularly in committee hearings to argue against the Convention of States Resolution. They try to convince state legislators that the process is untried, too dangerous, and will open the Constitution to all kinds of terrible amendments.
The states choose their own representatives, and while states like California and New York will no doubt send radical leftists, Republicans control 31 state legislatures. This will give Republicans an overwhelming majority at a Convention of States as well as during the ratification process.
Donnelly seems to believe that Article V gives Congress the power to control a convention when it says that Congress “calls” it. But as the nation’s leading Article V expert, Rob Natelson, outlines in his seminal work, “The Law of Article V,” Congress’ duty in this process is exclusively ministerial.
Just like the DMV must give you your driver’s license if you complete the required certifications, Congress must call an Article V convention if 34 states apply for one. The extent of its power to “call” is to name the time and place for the convention. The DMV agent doesn’t control the licensing process, and neither will Congress control the Article V process.
As Natelson outlines, there have been dozens of interstate conventions over the course of our nation’s history. These conventions limited their topics of conversation, each state sent its own representatives, and each state received one vote no matter the state’s population. The framers were familiar with this process, which is why they didn’t outline how an Article V Convention of States would operate. But thanks to legal scholars and historians like Natelson, we know, too.
Clinton and Soros are dead set against calling a Convention of States because they know Article V is the best way to decentralize power away from Washington and return power to the states and the people. They know that a Convention of States can propose constitutional amendments that limit federal power and eliminate the alphabet soup of federal agencies. Other amendments can force Congress to cut spending while further amendments can impose term limits on federal officials.
They also know that the states, which are overwhelmingly controlled by Republicans, will control the process from beginning to end. This is why leftists can’t “rig” a Convention of States, and it’s why anyone who cares about limiting federal power should join the movement to use the founders’ tool to put Washington back in its place.
