Dean swallowed thickly. All the worst memories were coming back; the guilt, the horror, and worst of all, the sick, sick part of him that enjoyed the rush it provided.
He remembered her screams. Wave after wave of guilt washed over him and he excused himself, telling Sam to talk with her about their current hunt.
Upon arriving back at the hotel, the elder Winchester locked himself in the bathroom and gave himself what he was convinced he deserved.
~ 6 Years Later ~
Forearm pulsing with need, the hunter fought the raw anger off as best he could. But he was reaching the end of his rope. The rage coursing through his veins grew stronger each second, spiking up especially when people came around. Maybe...if he took the rage out on himself--maybe the progress would slow. Dean stood from his booth at the restaurant and slipped into the bathroom, tugging his trusty blade out of his wallet and twirling it between his fingers.
