Ack! Sorry! I meant like fur patterns, tabby stripes, blotches of white, tortoiseshell mottling, etc...
noo need to be sorry! yknow how many/most artist have like, technique to do that kinda thing? i don't. i have literally no idea how i do this. but I'll try to explain for the sake of you having to ask my dumb ass twice :')
i just make the fur and markings go in one direction and hope it looks fine:
and sometimes make them like? fluid? idk just follow a simple wavy line:
about white blotches: i just make a simple tabby and then go "lol i WONDER how would it look if i added some yellowish white on that shit...." and if it just doesn't look good i leave the design without any light colors. sometimes you just need a LIL BIT of white to make the palette look complete/balanced, usually when the design is very dark:
most markings are just random. i come up with designs in the process so yeah. some of them don't look good and i redo them the next day
