Angst With Markiplier
Engineer Mark has a constant need to seek validation from others until one day in one of the many infinite realities he comes across Old Mark and receives the same kind of comfort we did, only for Old Mark to tell him that it took him his entire life to learn that it was okay to make mistakes and that he was only truly happy at the end of the universe, and that he wishes he had learned sooner that it's okay. He begs Engineer Mark to learn the lesson sooner than he did, but all Mark takes away from the story of Old Mark and Captain in the diner is that at some point, the Captain left him. He was alone, without the Captain, reliving all his regrets right up until before his death, and he becomes even more paranoid not knowing what mistake or what day will drive the Captain away from him forever. This creates a paradox of grief, Old Mark's warning on serving to reinforce Engineer Mark's fears and insecurities. om "You'll always make mistakes.. you have to." em "But I always wake up, and end up in the same place, over and over AND OVER AGAIN." om "I wish I had learned sooner that it's okay to make mistakes.." em "I wish I had learned sooner that it was all, my fault."
