Imagine having been Markus' mate for centuries now, and him slaughtering Craven's men from the coven who were cruel to you while he slumbered.
Underworld: Evolution (2006) ♡
Markus Corvinus
So I've watched Underworld: Evolution for the 5th time this week, and I'm sure 10-year old me would be proud of her future self for accomplishing such a thing. But I never expected to be so fiercely reminded of my undying love for all things history and my fierce protection of historians. I never thought I'd be bringing 10-year old El into the equation, but I cannot help myself. I need to explain myself better.
I know full well that he's not the most beloved character in the fandom, but I seriously think Andreas Tanis deserved a whole lot better. Yes, he's a bit of a douche and all, but he knew so much about the histories of things behind entire movies, and if it weren't for him, Selene would've never figured out what happened to her family. The only person to blame for his death is Markus (and seriously, that whole scene was dumb even if Steven Mackintosh killed it with his acting), and when he died, we were robbed of some awesome plots and new bits of lore that will never be explored now. The movies are more than 10 years old, but I'm still hellbent on bringing my faves back. That's what fanfic is for, TBH.
That's it. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
