A Children's Story.
L: Once upon a time... In the world I came from...
L: There was a hatter, he appeared suddenly, as an apprentice to a hatter unknown to everyone. It's not common for a hatmaker to be so talked about... but this one was different-
R, M, and E: Oh! I recognize that!
L: Hm?
E: He traveled everywhere with his best friend.
R: He would suddenly appear anywhere in the world, with his outrageous clothes and personality!
M: On his back he carried a huge bag, it was actually a wardrobe.
L: ... •sigh• exactly..
L: People called him crazy, honestly, he was a very strange person-
R: But with a great heart!
E: He genuinely scared everyone, he was so spontaneous...
Y/N: So why is he so famous? Why did they go after him?
R: Because... it was magical being with him.
L: It was impossible to ignore him... Their hats were like something out of a children's story... out of the ordinary.
L: As if he lived in his own world, he invented whatever he imagined; anything was possible.
R: You couldn't have predicted what he would pull out of his closet... But it was so funny the random things he pulled out!
L: For him, the most majestic thing was to make a hat that matched his dreams.
L: It was the meaning of his life, smiling with the others around him.
L: If you were to find him, you would be certain that you would enter his world.
E: But he also made the most elegant things! I heard that several princesses had hats and tiaras made by him! The most delicate jewels that ever existed!
M: Even though he lacked the ability to charge for them, he was poorer than a frog without a pond.
Y/N: Oh, you got to meet him, Marky?
M: H-hm?! Something like that... I mean, I had an institution for travelers...
R: I remember the first time I met him! He came just in time for my birthday! Dad bought so many hats, both for me and for my future siblings!
E: Wait a minute, what?! You had not just one, but several of his hats?!
M: I had one of his hats too, before I met you, Eleanor, I traveled with it for a while... it was the only thing that could control me back then.
Y/N: Why are his hats so rare? What happened?
•Eleanor, Marky, and Robson exchange glances•
R: He disappeared, like an ancient, childish story.
E: For hundreds of years, nobody knows what happened.. And if it happened.
M: Their hats wore out and were lost over time, just like him; I believe he died.
Y/N: So that's it...?
L: No. Actually, there's much more to this story...
Y/N: Oh!
L: But I'll tell it another day, I have to get back to work and enjoy the afternoon, one of the new residents asked me for a work desk.

T: ...Just a children's story... Totally imagined..

I was going to do more drawings, but I'm not very good at arranging them in comics... and I didn't want to have to make two posts.
But it was one of the most fun scenes I've ever drawn.

Now that we have a trailer and release date for Invincible S4, I just wanted to say that I really hope that they erase the Marky storyline from the show.
I'm fully aware that it wouldn't be happening in this season or anytime soon, but I still wanted to talk about it.
It's unnecessary. Mark has went through so much over the course of the comics and I don't think that a walking reminder of his r*pe is needed in his life. The fact that Anissa decided to call the boy "Marky" is also extremely vile and disturbing.
The plotline went absolutely nowhere. Mark ends up taking his family to space and leaving the kid on Earth. Marky ends up resenting him for this, which leads to a big fight and then they make up. End of story. Like ???
I don't really like the way Kirkman handled the storyline if I'm being honest. The next time we see Anissa after everything, she is supposedly a changed person that is a great mother and loving wife. Later, before she gets her very heroic death(🥴), she tells Eve that she doesn't regret what she did to Mark because she got Marky out of it. Wtf🤢
As someone who sees a lot of Invincible content on different platforms, I wholeheartedly believe that the majority of this fandom is too immature and stupid to be able to watch that storyline in an appropriate manner. I constantly see posts/comments in which people say that they're jealous of Mark for his r*pe and how lucky he is or that he clearly wanted it because he didn't fight back enough. Including it in the show would bring about more people just like that...
