adventures in college spanish
twinabjections: squints at spanish textbook
so i have to answer questions about holidays in spanish
and the question is
how does this man celebrate dia de los muertos?
day of the dead
shows a man taking his wife out to eat and the description is basically “he takes his children out to buy flowers and they take his wife out to dinner to celebrate her being a good mother”
that is not the day of the dead
grimoire: ....
grimoire: but
grimoire: but thats mothers day
twinabjections: my best guess is they meant dia de la madre and just typo’d??
grimoire: good god
grimoire: muertos madre
twinabjections: omg
twinabjections: NO SHE IS ALIVE
grimoire: incredible
grimoire: MADRE ESTA MUERTA
grimoire: loud cackling
twinabjections: madre esta muerto… y padre esta muerto… QUIEN MANEJAR EL COCHE???
twinabjections: i don’t know what flying the plane is
grimoire: SI MI MADRE ESTA MUERTA, Y PADRE ESTA MUERTO... QUIEN ESTA VOLANDO EL AVION?
nadie
entonces
todos los pasajeros van a morir
es una dia triste
grimoire: :,(
twinabjections: omfg
twinabjections: beautiful
grimoire: tragically beautiful
twinabjections: many tears were shed
twinabjections: anyway i wrote in my answers
the book says dia de los muertos but there isn’t one in the examples so
here is my answer for dia de la madre
grimoire: i would have put:
grimoire: 'the man disrespects his ancestors by celebrating his wife in place of honoring and celebrating his ancestors'
twinabjections: beautiful
grimoire: either that or 'his wife is dead and so hes taking her corpse to dinner'
winabjections: OMG
grimoire: 'his children do not realize it yet'
grimoire: 'one day they will understand'

"They also take a lot of time. The plan is this. I'll finish Homestuck some time in 2013. In the meantime, there will be a high-level planning phase for the game project. The decisions reached will largely depend on the budget we have to work with: how much money is raised here. When Homestuck is done, that's when our full attention will be on actual development. The game will be scheduled for release in 2014. I'm often asked what I will work on once Homestuck is done. If the project is funded, then this is it! As for what will happen with MSPA after that, I haven't really decided yet. I might continue making some sort of content for it, but I'll have to see what sort of time investment the game will require first."
the most reecent update, copied from mspa "We're coming up on almost a year since I paused. So that means I got like, SO much done on the story, right? Wow, no. Innumerable unspecified problems happened which badly prevented this from being true. I'd estimate out of those 12 months, I maybe squeezed in a grand total of 3 months worth of work on HS in there. Kinda dribbled across the year in the most frustrating way possible. So, I'm just gonna cry uncle on this dogshit pause and start posting stuff, but probably in a regimented way so I don't blow through everything I have too fast, thus giving me some time to work on the rest. "
aka he hasnt gotten much done at all, has refused to communicate that untill now, and we are no where near done with homestuck, and no where near seeing where those 2 million dollars went
giving both documents a read might be a good idea, especially if you donated
