@tisfan and I are both at our local area Con this weekend (MarsCon). Neither of us thought to post anything about it before today, and neither of us thought to prep our weekend posts in advance. Tis managed to get her Saturday update posted from her phone, but since our usual Sunday post this week would have been the start of a brand new fic, we decided we'll just skip this week and start it next week instead.

Sorry, everyone who has been looking forward to the werewolf!Bucky and vampire!Tony fic! You’ll have to wait just a little longer.

Marscon is this weekend, I’m incredibly proud to see how far I’ve come from my first year in the artist alley, to this being my third year and now in the dealers room. Would love to see folks stop by

Awkward moment in the dealer room at MarsCon today: a gal in faux-uniform cosplay at her table, who clearly writes grimdark military SF/fantasy in the vein of Warhammer, asks “So what kind of stories do you like?”

Me, sheepishly: “Um, fluffy queer stuff.”

She was clearly not expecting that response and had nowhere to go with it. I was like, “Sorry, yeah, I was just passing through!”

Given how much I used to love Robert E. Howard and stories about spaceships shooting at other spaceships, I’m just as surprised as you, military SF gal. But you keep rocking with your badass SF WOC self.

My night as Taako at Marscon in Minnesota. It was so much fun being Taako and the fact that people knew who I was, even though this was pulled together right before I left for the con, makes me so happy. Now to sleep on a king sized bed all by myself. 3
