Lorraine and Ron Martinson gave birth to their son Cory in Port Hardy, British Columbia on March 13, 1977. Corey grew up in beautiful British Columbia, spending much of his time in the great outdoors. He attended Rossland High School, where he was a student-athlete, playing rugby and hockey.

Cory graduated from Rossland High School in 1994 and then obtained a bachelor’s degree in history from Thompson Rivers University. In his free time, Cory likes to participate in running, scuba diving, hiking, rock climbing, skiing, camping, fishing, sailing, and other outdoor activities.
