Billy & Teddy’s Friday of Obscurity!
Fantastic Four #42 (2022)
We had a recent obscure BillyTeddy appearance so I wanted to talk about it since the issue came out a few days ago on April 6th!
The comic is apart of the ‘Reckoning War’ storyline which has been a part of comics since 1964! From what I understand it’s all about the watchers breaking their vow of non-interference which sparked fights with the fantastic four.
This is something that was re-introduced and built up to in Empyre so seeing it start in recent Fantastic Four comics create a lot of promise for another event soon and/or more BillyTeddy appearances since the Kree and Skrull are a large part of the Reckoning War.
Billy Teddy truly have minor appearances in this issue, just playing defense for the capital city ‘Anelle-Vell’ (which is a cute nod to Anelle, Teddy’s mother).
A cute little throw away line from Billy about Teddy’s “King of Space” voice as well.
Teddy talks politics and volunteers himself and the Empire’s forces in taking down the rest of the “the Reckoning’s Hot Spots”.
The last flash of Teddy we see is just a reaction shot to the Guardians.
While the issue is, again, a very obscure appearance it seems to set up Billy & Teddy’s larger appearance in the Fantastic Four storyline.
Hopefully we see them and more of the Empire itself again!
How did I land a kind-hearted hunk of a space emperor husband???

After last night’s talks about Billy’s galaxy onesie I have to bring up how beautiful it was in Aftermath
Like look at it. The way it was kind of more greenish compared to what we usually see and it went so well along with the green cape and just....it was so beautiful and Billy was so beautiful in this issue (as was Teddy).
