Dr. Connors is an amputee.
In the comics Lizard's clothes sometimes fit him fine without being damaged by the transformation, so what if he has large clothes for being Lizard and when he transforms back they're really oversized?
I'll probably draw this concept again at some point because I wanted him to be cuter
