So this is probably the one it’s most likely to be a somewhat common thing in. Maybe not like everyone does it but certainly a planet or two just have it as How Pregnancies Are Done. Also possibly an option on the table in the generally more technologically advanced advanced planets in the event of the pregnancy becoming high risk because of how the woman’s body is responding to it.

The technology is there and ingrained in society enough for it to be accessible enough at that level

DC and Marvel

Again the tech is there just more only in the hands of some characters who tend to fall on the... morally gray end of the spectrum.

In DC Lex & Ra’s (+Talia) would probably be your best bests of having the tech. Both of them having grown babies in test tubes. Although Tim gets a special mention for being the hero most likely to cobble together the tech as well (of course any of the Bats probably could and Krypton tech might just be able to do it).

Likely only to occur in a situation-by-situation basis.

Final Fantasy - specifically XV and VII

Hojo & Niflheim is where the tech is at here. And neither for great moral reasons. Very high chance of exploitation being involved in it and very much about furthering their own goals with little regard to notions of agency or bodily autonomy on whoever the poor person they decided to transfer the pregnancy onto.

Fandom: Marvel (comics), Young Avengers

Pairing: Teddy/Billy

Warnings: mpreg, labor

Dumb short thing that I couldn’t get out of my head because of Billy’s powers.

Is attempting to use reality altering superpowers to stop labor pains a misuse of said powers? Very possibly. But what was the point of having them otherwise? Not that Teddy wasn’t being the best, most supportive, mate ever. He was. It is just that all the support in the world didn’t make contractions hurt any less.

“I don’t see why you don’t just magic the baby out of you?” Tommy asks, sitting in the chairs in the room that is supposed to be for Billy’s mum once she gets there.

“And why don’t I just magic you into having more sympathy while I’m at it?” Billy shoots back. 

He will admit he’s thought about it and in theory he could. He just isn’t sure if in practice I’d cause more problems, like the baby going into shock from too rapid of a chance in environment or something. And he doesn’t know if he can maintain enough focus to cast the spell with the contractions breaking it every handful of minutes.

Maybe with the next pregnancy he will.

“I’m just saying,” Tommy says, his hands up in mock surrender.

“And I’m just saying get out of the room before I send you out.” Probably to another universe. Hopefully not into becoming a pile of atoms.

Tommy does leave, not that Billy much notices it seeing another contraction hits.

“I don’t want it to hurt. I don’t want it to hurt. I don’t-“

Teddy lets him do his best to crush his hand, while muttering a jumbled mix of praise and apology. And it’s great, and he’s perfect, and it still hurts.

Next one is getting magiced out.

“They’re getting closer,” Teddy says once the contraction ends. At least they don’t have to manually time them anymore, the machine Billy had strapped onto him once they get to the hospital doing it for them.

“We’re going to be parents soon.” Nine months of morning sickness and weird aches and even weirder cravings all culminating in them having a baby in a matter of hours should everything stay on track.

“We’re going to have a baby,” Teddy says as if it’s just really hit him. Which Billy gets seeing how real it’s suddenly feeling now the baby is actually coming and not just growing in him.

“You think we’re ready?”

“Do we really get a choice at this point?”

Billy laughs and Teddy presses their heads together. A sign of trust and support. They’re going to do this. They’re going to have a baby and then they’re going to be parents.

They got this.

How would Eddie and Venom take it when Peter gets pregnant? Even if he's all grown up and married, I still could see them being awkward about it lol.

So considering that 1- it’s been proven in canon that if under non-typical circumstances (like say being half-human) a symbiote can be made to have a more human-style pregnancy; 2- narrative rule of funny says do it; and 3- I’m writing it, I’d say that even if Peter’s conception + birth was the more symbiote ‘spawning’ instead of Eddie being actually pregnant with him I’d still say he’s probably end up with a more ‘human’ pregnancy. Which I mean even if he was the result of an actual pregnancy it’d still be a bit weird for Eddie and Venon to take because it’s their kid whose pregnant. If Peter himself was a result of a spawning however it’d be… even more awkward because there’s a bit of not knowing exactly how it will go for Peter - which bits of the pregnancy he will take after his human-genetics and which he will take after his symbiote. But also just like Venom, while probably exposed to human pregnancies by this point, wouldn’t be as close to it as he is now that it’s his son who is the pregnant one. 

And for Peter generally it probably feels a bit weird to tell his parents he’s pregnant considering their unique relationship with each other. 

The awkwardness does fade of course but the conversation where Peter tells them is pretty awkward. And then the next few weeks is a lot of other awkward interactions as Eddie and Venom try and be supportive while still processing the whole thing. Hell, even after the kid is born there is probably a lot of moments of awkwardness because... well especially Venom’s idea of parenting is kind of worlds different to what most consider.

In the Symbrock kid au how well did Eddie or Venom deal with going through labor or the process of birthing Peter and was it somewhat like a regular human birth? Where Anne and Dan with Eddie and Venom during this?

So in the actual verse I live in the vague zone of how Peter was created (was he actually carried by Eddie? Was he just a spawn of Venom that took some of Eddie’s DNA and ended up incredibly human after like a day of goo-blob? Nobody will ever know). But I’m gonna’ answer it on the more human birth option because fuck it I can. Just you know this response is an OPTION for what happened not set-in-stone (and I’m never gonna’ pick).

Venom very much freaked at the labor just because when symbiotes spawn it’s more like shedding some cells than the human effort of labor and delivery. So he does not like how much pain they are in at it despite Eddie telling him it’s normal and expected for a human birth. Venom’s trying to be calm but he’s doing a very bad job at it so Eddie has to deal with that on top of the actual labor and delivery. And Eddie is very much starting with how he’s going to be okay and get through this fine before kind of tapping out halfway and just wanting it to be over. Which you know does not help Venom’s panic one bit.

Dan and Anne are around I think but not like there. Assuming Eddie gave birth in a hospital (which okay lot of factors to weigh up there) they’d be in the waiting room to see the baby after sort of thing.

Do you think, especially when Eddie gets pregnant, that Mrs.Chen is used to Eddie coming in sleeping because venom decided to take over and gather food for his family? Maybe V gets comfortable with her, and when there's no one else in he'll talk to her as he gets everything? Eddie probably gave him a budget Early on/maybe venom asked first and Eddie told him a budget?

Yep. Eddie needs his restwith the pregnancy, Venom knows this. But Eddie also needs to eat and more thanthe average person with the whole supporting of Venom as well in his body ontop of the pregnancy. So Venom goes out to get them food so there is food therewhen Eddie wakes up. And Venom likes Mrs Chen and her store because Eddiefrequents it regularly and it’s clear Mrs Chen also wants to make sure Eddie ishealthy (seeing she keeps giving him advice).

I don’t know exactlyhow long it takes Mrs Chen to figure out it’s actually the other-thing that is living in Eddie doing the shopping and notEddie himself but once she does she’s always correcting Venom’s purchases so it’sactually wat’s best for Eddie and not what Venom necessarily thinks is best forEddie. You know like not letting him just buy as much meat as possibly but insteadthings with high nutritional value that are good for pregnant people (and thereis probably some back and forth about whether Eddie will eat whatever it is atall because let’s be real Eddie is a mess when it comes to diet). Mrs Chen kindof owes them for scaring off the group demanding protection money (as much asthey were just doing it because bad-person and Venom needing to eat) so she’shappy to help Venom in his nightly shopping for his family and probably findsit somewhat entertaining how domestic he can be about it considering she hasseen him bite a man’s head off.

Eddie totally givesVenom a budget for it because if not Venom will just keep on buying whatever itis he thinks they need without much thought as to the cost of it.

In the Symbrock kid au when Eddie or Venom was pregnant with Peter did Eddie experience any pregnancy symptoms and when was Eddie, Anne, and Dan informed about what was happening?

Thanks to the comics confirming that a symbiote!spawning can result in pregnancy-symptoms (which yes they place as being a result of all the other shit that happened to Venom I don’t care) it doesn’t matter which route of Peter’s conception I go (as in if he’s a spawn that took a lot of Eddie’s DNA or if it’s a pregnancy where Venom is the father) Eddie would get pregnancy symptoms.

As to when Eddie would find out kind of depends on which route I go with the conception. Because if it is a pregnancy (because of either trans!Eddie or just mpreg) then he’s more likely to put the pieces together and realise he’s pregnant (although Venom would also likely become aware because - new different cells forming in Eddie’s body). If it’s a spawn that just happened to take a chunk of Eddie’s DNA when creating the child then I still think Venom would tell Eddie fairly soon after he found out but it’s more a… he has to tell Eddie what’s happening and less him giving Eddie just a little bit of information and Eddie figuring it out mostly himself. I do think Venom would tell him pretty quickly though just because there isn’t like 10 of Venom’s previous offspring running around killing people to make Venom worried about this one being a killer and thus wanting to keep it hidden.

Anne and Dan were then informed probably after Eddie has like 2 freak-outs about it. Just because like Eddie realises this is one of those things where he’s probably going to want a doctor involved at least. And while Dan’s specialty isn’t in pregnancy AT ALL he’s more likely to know someone who can actually help and also won’t sell Eddie out. So yeah, they’re probably told like a week or two after Eddie knows? Especially if Eddie is worried about the pregnancy length not being what one would expect of a normal human gestation (because he has no idea when the baby is going to be born so more likely to not avoid telling them for as long as possible).
