something about love 🪽

i think in the most simplest terms this piece is about mystique’s perception of her family’s love for her being comically fragile. countered by the reality that it is magically resilient. she doesn’t understand why they still love her despite everything she’s done to herself and them. she should terrify them, she’s this big hulking figure that’s always looked down on them ( both physically & subconsciously to some extent ) and yet they still love her despite everything she’s put them through. and she loves them too.

if you been around long enough you’ll recognize luxury and victor , my two death note ocs who i love a lot. and have tried multiple times at inserting into stories now that i’m more focused on original content instead of fanart. but those ideas never really stuck before- - i think because either what i was reaching for was unachievable as a starting story/series or just wasn’t as much my cup of tea as i initially thought. ( and honest to god if you’re making an original story you gotta be like obsessed with what you’re making if you want to get anywhere past fun art every now and then + and also be realistic with yourself. your first series CANNOT BE like a 3 season long expedition on topics u haven’t ever written for , thats like asking to be sent to die by a thousand paper cuts. ask me how i know ) i won’t say that i will be making a series out of these characters. but i know i have definitely found a place for two ocs that mean a lot to me, in a story where they are loved. with new characters showing dynamics i’m really excited to explore even if its just as illustrations :]👍
