I wanted to do a fun activity with my students on the last day of school before the March break + Corona virus quarantine. So, we did a cliché Instagram sketchbook page of cacti. Ridiculously proud of my students. Tonight was our school's art showcase; drama, music, dance and fashion all had a part. I had my students do a live painting performance: each student was given a small canvas with seemingly random lines drawn on it. I asked them to choose a color scheme and to have fun. They had two hours to paint while the show was happening. Here are the results from this afternoon and evening shows.
