I guess it makes sense that if we change our name, it can't be any names that belong to parts. It has to be something we all agree on. Nothing triggering. Or confusing.
I’m really annoyed by the whole left knee vs right knee thing (regarding which one actually got hurt at the beginning of 2019).
It was the right. There is a picture of us wearing the knee brace. It was definitely the right. And it does still hurt sometimes, in a way that makes me think it’s not psychosomatic.
I know they don’t recall, but we never let it heal properly.
Sometimes, when I see trans men talking about their transitions on Instagram, I want to cry a little. Just a little. Because I wish that could have been me. But life is stupid and gender is stupid because of complicated part-related things.
We have a partner that is not attracted to men and they’re scared of the current US administration. I think those are pretty much the only reasons I’m not allowed to transition. Or that’s how it feels, at least. I’m sure there’s more to it, but whatever it is, I can’t see it.
It’s hard not to be cynical right now.
