Musicians Who Hide Their Identity
I would think that every musician would do their best to let their listeners know who they are. The most well known artists out there are not known because they are like the rest, they are known because they are different. They have their own musical style and taste, and this is genuinely perceived through their music and their lifestyle. Those who have tried to fake it have been sniffed out by the fans, who are able to see right through a fake artist. There is a third group of artists who have significant presence, but who are only known by their alter-ego. These are groups where the man behind the artist wants to stay a mystery. Their reasons for doing this might be many; perhaps they have a superman complex and are a completely different person in real life. Maybe they are embarrassed of the success. By remaining a mystery to your audiences, you give yourself that much more attention – and there will be less people who can identify you in your real life. MF Doom comes to mind, as well as Deadmau5 who like to donn a mask before a performance. Some have never performed on stage, and have no problem hiding their true identity. http://www.hypebot.com/hypebot/2013/11/mystery-marketing-musicians-who-hide-their-identity.html
Hmmm...
I remember being to the Grid once before...got sent to the games. *shudder* And Clu approached me once, too. Ugh...*a frown appears on her visor.* he scares me. I ended up running into the Masked DJs that worked at End of Line. They got me out of there fast. This is only my second time here in the Grid, and I'm already worried about running into Clu again.
