hongjoong used the name “lucky” in mixnine, his previous gang because they took him in when he found a cache of food for them, calling him lucky

seonghwa was selectively mute for a while so they just called him “mars” cause he sat and stared at the instead of sleeping

san was never given a name… not really, they all just called him “jitneun sori” or “howl” because he loved to play pretend with the other kids and would take them out during the night to the beach to howl like wolves (cuteeee) then he picked the name “san” with wooyoung one night as they stared at the mountains

mingi … oh mingi… when asked his name, he yells out in pain “iyaah” which they mistake to be his name LMFAOOOOO but then he says it’s mingi

wooyoung was originally “wooyeon” which means beautiful rain, but changed it with san because he wanted to show that san was his true friend because wooyoung means “to make lots of friends” and he didn’t want to think about the water

yunho scrambles and calls himself “uno” like the game because hongjoong tells him that lucky is his name and yunho goes “is that your real name??” and hongjoong goes “no duh” and yunho struggles to come up with a fake name (he’s so cute) cue lots of teasing and endearing hongho

yeosang uses a million different names to get away from the city and not use his real name … he goes by “alex” with his first group, his second group call him “kade” and he carries a bag with the name “logan” on it cause he stole it from someone else … he just goes with whatever they call him cause he’s passive and whatever, but settles to be called yeosang, but doesn’t tell them his last name

jongho tells them his name is shinwoo at first and when they ask him later if that’s his real name, he says “no duh” just like hongjoong did and they think it’s super endearing and hongjoong takes to him right away - but then he tells them his real name right away after making everyone go ?? okay??? so why didn’t you just tell us your real name lol
