hi hi can i request 'eden' and 'réka' in hjelohk? and 'you're not a liar; you're a lie'?
of course!!! i’m 100 years late on this (i apologize!! my memory is horrible!!) but here you go:
eden:
réka:
you’re not a liar; you’re a lie:
en’te ahk ta tihavan; en’te ta tihavo
in spoken hjelohk, repeating sounds are often collapsed down for the ease of the speaker, so en’te ta tihavo would likely be said as “en’ta tihavo” or “en’ta’havo” if the speaker was feeling particularly ambitious. collapsed sounds are more of a trait of native speakers than students of the language, so non-native speakers are easy to spot due to their stiffer/more formal speech patterns.
bonus fun fact: the word for lie, tihavo, comes from the words for trust (tihirah) and recklessly (akhavota)
i’ll write your name/a line from your wip in my conlang!
🖍
your icon is actually in this character’s pinterest board! so providence has spoken, I've been saving her for you
a little crippled bookworm
maskedlady replied to your post: the word ozdrowieniec has the archaic vibe I would...
what does it mean?
convalescent is the word in English, I think - although in this usage in Polish it refers nearly strictly to people who survived and are recovering from contagious diseases.
hi and congrats! could i have a ⚡ + whisper and 🌴 + storm?
your edit is here!!
thrashing, clawing, tearing i’m bleeding his rain shreds my skin and bites my face i’m slipping
the only repose i find is in the thunderas it rips through my bonesi’m callinghome is near
for the poem asks, storm + shattered glass + whisper?
there goes time tied to the throats of men
who wanted divinity in their tongues
but did not notice that their stomachs grew
odd in the soil of disgraced palms.
i saw but i did not speak and so the
bones in my arms cracked and brewed
the shifting place in which god did not come
but the devil sat upright. i was the river that
held a chest of eyes , i could have saved but
i made a bowl of lies and fed it to the
watchers turning them upon good men
so that i could feel the low caresses of the
mourning - star’s voices.
@maskedlady i hope you like this.
