she's only noticing how bored @massivedeal seems to be with the guy she's talking to because it's been impossible to take her eyes off her all night. she doesn't know why, because it's not like she's interested in her like that — or so she tells herself, despite the way she feels panicked every time regina barely looks over this direction. she takes the opportunity now, moving over and lightly stepping between regina and the guy, shooting a glare at him. ❝ i really need to talk to my friend, so can you, like, go somewhere else? ❞ she mutters towards him, glaring him down until he surrenders and goes. she takes a deep breath, turning back to regina and stepping back. ❝ sorry. i know you definitely could've handled that yourself, but -- figured a little help wouldn't hurt, ❞ she says, hoping that she won't call her on the lie that they're friends, that she'll simply leave it at callie just trying to rescue her, because they've never spoken before, even though callie's been desperate for an opportunity for weeks now.
