The man upstairs and his master builders religion
after the events of the second movie, it is decided that with 2 wars, a rebellion and an apocalypse, all in the same decade, it was high time to start taking “the man upstairs” more seriously and become a proper faith.
Belief system: Master builders take a lot of influences from different philosophy, the main one being hedonismo. Thay believe in liveing your life to its awesomeness’. Its more than just being smart, strong or a talented builder, it is expressing your style and embracing other people’s styles. When you die you go to the bin of stor-age but sometimes your spirit can get lost and wind up in heck.
God/religious figure: Master builders believe and worship “the man upstairs” who descended the great “stair gate” and created the all realms piece by piece. We were created in his image and must try our best to uphold his values. “The special” is the long-prophesised vessel of “the man upstairs” who would save them from evil, by finding “the piece of resistant” they will be the first to see “the man upstairs” for what he truly is,
(its implied in the first movie that visions are a regular thing for master builders, Vitruvius states that master builders spend years clearing their minds in order to get a glimpse of “the man upstairs” and that Emmet could get such a clear vision on the first try, was proof that he was “the special” )
Way of worship: There is no one way to worship “the man upstairs’ as master builders encourage individualism, however its common to dedicate oneself to a creative art form. The performing arts, visual arts and textile arts are what normally spring to mind, but academic arts, martial arts, culinary arts, and conceptual arts, are also accepted methods.
Where do I put this- Master builders believe It’s important to train their minds though study, souls though meditation and body’s though physical labour. Master builders are also allowed to follow another faith if they so wish (so there can be Muslim, Jewish, and Buddhist master builders)
Followers: Many types of professions decide to become master builders, painters, writers, inventors, explorer, reporters, detectives, cooks, bakers, models, actors, mechanics, athletes, construction workers, any and all who express a need to Make, create, build and follow their curiosity.
Holiday: (currently unnamed festival of creativity) it’s a mix of Halloween, thanksgiving, and Brazilian carnival season, master builders celebrated it by dressing up in a special costume and cosplaying, they host a community picnic where everyone brings food to shear, carnivals games and performances provide entertainment. The point of the festival is too reminding everyone that they are not alone in the world, and to remind the master builders that they are all special. (food fights are a unofficial but no less welcome part of the celebration)
Religious Symbol: their symbol is the (Lego) brick for it represents infinite possibility, and endless creativity, something simple can be something awesome, if you give it a chance. Many master builders also choose to get tattoos, once they reach adulthood that is. small semi circles on their palms, and small full circles on their feet, and back of their thighs
(basically, the tattoos are meant on their hands are meant to be Lego claws and the ones on their legs are the holes that Lego minifigs have to click into bricks and keep them from falling over)
house of worship: home is where the heart is, and a master builders’ heart is in the community, master builders have a strong sense of fellowship. Benefactors will make donations, shearing resources to help other builders across the globe.
