transphobes mad because it lets you choose pronouns and body type rather than asking you what gender you are and also someone got banned for making an attack helicopter joke but the games doing incredibly well it came out yesterday and it’s already #1 on steam

do you think the NDP's measures for the bc housing market will actually lead to rent and housing prices decreasing? LIKE that article saying house prices fell by 73% made my heart stop but i honestly cant see anything stopping affordable apartments getting torn down and replaced by apartment towers that are like 1.5M for 500 sq ft :"D BUT I WANT TO BELIEVE........

I guess we’ll see, but the reactions from the super rich when this isn’t even law yet is telling. I think things will change permanently.

But I do think the NDP needs to do more than what they’re proposing. Its a start, but its only a start.

kindve urgent since it's now affecting my sleep, im very much a chewing stimmer and my fingers are deformed from a lifetime of chewing lmao... im cutting myself off slowly w/o replacing it with anything else (like a chew toy or smth, im just not chewing things) recently my jaw keeps feeling really tight and aching, is it from just like stress? or is it that me not chewing anything is just building up in an agonizing need to chew something... how do I fix this!

If you’ve been chewing your whole life it probably is stress (though yes this is likely related to not chewing anything). I’d try redirecting your chewing to something else, either chewing something else or a different stim.

It’s incredibly difficult and stressful to stop a stim completely, so you should focus on redirection instead, and hopefully your jaw will start to feel better as you no longer have the unrelieved stress

what can i do when someone keeps sitting in my seat in class? i go to a small college so people usually sit in the same spot consistently but two of my classes have one person suddenly halfway through the hear deciding to take my seat and its like WAY TO SINGLE OUT THE ONE AUTISTIC LADS!!! IM PISSED!!!

If you feel comfortable talking to them about it, you could say something like “Hey, I know this sounds kinda silly, but that’s been my seat all semester and I find it hard to focus when sitting in another part of the room now.  Would you mind moving over one?”  Unfortunately, if they say no then there isn’t much you can do.

If you don’t feel comfortable talking to them, you could make an effort to get to class a few minutes earlier and get your seat before they arrive.

If that’s not an option for some reason or if you try that and it doesn’t work, you unfortunately may just have to pick a new seat and make an effort to get used to it as quickly as possible.
