how is this ridiculous thing ±9️⃣ years old & i've had her for 5️⃣ years already?! 🎊

& so proud of her for now getting her sea legs as a senior dog! 🚤 ⚓

for context of her progress, some "before" photos: prior to adopting her (2020), right after bringing her home (just over to my house on the same farm property she'd lived on most of her life, 2021), & also prior to becoming an only dog (2022)...the difference is VERY apparent! (i was overseas for 2023, & y'all have seen photos of her on posts here since)

she's now consistently been a healthy weight for her size, breed mix, & age, she's spoiled absolutely rotten with love & attention & enrichment & training & care, her confidence keeps increasing, she's such a well-behaved "guard dog" now, & generally just so much happier. that i can see her true personality, intelligence, agility, & perceptiveness/intuition/empathy (with me, other people & animals, & especially with kids!)...she's transformed into a completely different dog, for the better. & it's so lovely that other people notice the positive change, too!

Meet Theo! ❤️

I just got him over the weekend. He's 8 weeks. I got him from JD and Keevah's breeder. Someone abandoned his pregnant mom on her farm so his father is unknown but his mom looks like a Staffie mix, maybe with a Lab.

Now, I don't know for sure, but since having him and taking in his personality so far as well as how he looks, I'm guessing he's something like a Bullmastiff/Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier/Labrador Retriever mix. I did speculate Black Mouth Cur for a small while but I don't think so anymore and Boxer has been a guess since I first saw him after he was born. He came from the south, so, he could honestly be mixed with just about anything. I might end up doing a DNA test in the future ☺️

Last year my mom adopted a new dog because her neighbor (and friend) adopted the sister and, because they are pretty big, no one wanted to take her home. They are super sweet but also a bit evil. My mom and her friend go on daily walks so the sisters can see each other every day.

Their names are Lluvia (Rain):

They are part mastiff so they are VERY tall.

This is Zeus. In these pictures he’s 4.5 months old and 53lb.. his dad “Big Boi” was 120.. and his mom “Ari” is 60.. love both of them.

Here is their pictures. Big Boi sadly was hit by a train after he got of my adoptive parent’s fenced in yard.

Both are super sweet and protective of me and the kids..

Zeus inherited the best from both.

Nora Jean! Aussies are great, but someday in the future I definitely want another bully. Mutt or purebred I don’t care, as long as they have a big dumb head and are as stubborn as a mule 😂
