Page 3. ---- Trapped in the end of the blazing Canada Match Co. factory in Hull, Que. able to see the outside world and possible safety from the torturing flames through a window they couldn’t break, five young women were burned to death yesterday while in plain view of aid. Pictures show (1) the ruins of the match factory shortly after it was destroyed by fire; (2) Germaine Cyr, 26; (3) Therese Labelle, 19, and (4) Laura Lescelle, 30, all of whom were burned to death. In (5) is a view of the factory taken previous to the fire and showing the type of window which would-be rescuers from the outside were unable to break through.
