Nancy and Mateo look good together, but I don't think they have great chemistry.

Yeah, for me, it’s just the idea that they have a lot of potential, but they just haven’t brought it all together and haven’t really embraced all that these characters can be. Like if they’d put Tarlos level efforts into Nanteo, things could be very different.

(and I’m interested how they’ll explore Nancy’s bisexuality *or however she defines herself* because being bisexual and in a straight passing relationship is very different than being straight, and I’d like to see those nuances on screen but don’t know if we’ll get them).

Watching the new episode and all I can think about is Mateo’s a Dreamer—having the police barge into his house and not tell him what’s going on must have been terrifying

Right! There is a lot there. It would have to be a moment of sheer panic for him. That could have been an interesting moment to see more of what Mateo was thinking and how he felt. I def think they could have shaved a little time off the interrogation time to give us a glimpse into that.

I just saw someone say ‘what did Mateo do to deserve Owen as a roommate’ and I burst out laughing 😭😭😭😭😭 because yeah I’m wondering that , too. Didn’t he live with other roommates before? Something must have happened with that and he had to find a place to stay. The only reason I’m looking forward to these scenes is because we will get more Mateo ☺️☺️☺️

I bet Mateo will have issues with roommates and then boom moving in with Owen. Mateo cannot possibly know what he’s getting himself into. I am excited to see more of Mateo and hopefully get to know him a little better because they’ve done so little development with him so I feel like I don’t know him at all (like he’s more than just the naive/clueless moments they show with him)

Mateo is my least favorite character at this point

He’s probably not my least favorite, but I don’t have that much of a connection with him. Like, I have some fondness, but he’s been a very flat character, and he’s just pretty underdeveloped, which is a real shame because he has a lot of potential!

What did Marjan do with the tattoo at the end? I love Grace smartness. I liked how the writers didn't make her angry at Judd to create drama. I really hope to know what's the point of the pregnancy storyline killing Gwen(hope not) or her losing the bady broke off with owen back to NY(the actress said she is in S2 but she is a guest)?

She made the tattoo artists cover up the spelling error and then they’ll go back and get the lettering redone. Also, I am so upset at those tattoo artists. Their behavior was super unethical and they knew that what they were doing was wrong, and they laughed at poor Mateo’s expense. I also like that they didn’t have a big Judd/ Grace blow up and just had a resigned and sad moment between them. Yeah, I have no idea what they’re thinking with that storyline and I’m not sure I’ll ever have answers about what they are doing!

What of out of left field we get Marjan and Mateo. You know then M&M's. Lol

I think there are a good number of people who would like this outcome and could see Marjan and Mateo being together. I do like Marjan’s treatment of Mateo, and I think they have a great dynamic, but I see them as having less romantic potential than Paul and Marjan just because they’ve kind of written Mateo as being a like a little brother to everyone. That doesn’t mean they wouldn’t choose to go the romantic route, though!

I wanna know more about Mateo 🥺 I love his character and I know there’s so many layers to him that haven’t been explored but he seems introspective and idk observant. Yeah a little immature but I also think he just might be the youngest of the gang and that’s the way that goes sometimes 😂 but aside from that, I just wanna know what his backstory is and his life I just wanna know more about him 🥺

Yeah, they kind of just throw him into the ditzy probie role a little too much for my liking when we’ve also seen how diligent and attentive to details he is. Like there’s so much to Mateo that we have yet to discover and I hope we get some more of him soon. He’s not one of my favorite characters, but I think that’s partially because he hasn’t really been developed and he’s still pretty flat. All I want is some round characters haha because we deserve to have that!

I think it’s going to be Mateo (after the bts issues the twitter stuff) or someone we don’t know at all but was an Austin FD from another fire house.

Ohh interesting. It could be Mateo! He would probably be the one of the main cast that I think would be most likely. And yeah one of their own could mean anyone really but based on their reactions it seemed pretty personal too.
