Thinking of when Adam’s stomach gets the baby bump he starts wearing maternity dresses like this one because they are more comfortable and less hassle like how he finds them more comfortable and less hassle. Plus he would want to still have punk style maternity clothes.

Ok but we need to talk about how cute 1940's maternity clothes were/are.

I found photos and fashion between the 20's and 60's, so I hope I got the right pictures. But seriously, look at these clothes! I'd wear them, even if I wasn't pregnant! They look so comfortable ^^

If my research is correct, the reason why the clothes were more free flowing is because pregnancy was considered a 'taboo' subject. So the clothes were designed to make the woman look as slim as possible and not draw attention to her changing body. In some cases, I can see this being a good thing, but in others, I can see it being a bad thing.

It's good that the clothes are more loose and don't constrict the woman's body, not to mention some women might enjoy the extra privacy of hiding the baby bump (I know I would). On the other hand, it can promote shame for their changing body and the pregnancy itself. As seen in the Maternity Fashion Do's and Don'ts Guide I found underneath.

Again, this is if my limited research is correct. I could very easily be wrong. I just wanted to share my discovery with you guys.
