This kid in my theatre group grabbed my dq cup that said orange julius and just said “Orange Julius? More like Pink Julius, HA I’m color blind.” And everybody just went quiet it was a weird experience.

As planned, after getting the novel I've been working on for the last year to a critiqueable point (romance/fantasy "Lord of All Flesh"), I am going back to my shelved project to consider deeper revisions (darker sci-fi-fantasy story).
I'm really happy to find that after letting it rest for so long, I'm not intimidated by the idea of ripping it to pieces and taping it back together again in a way that makes more sense. I think a year ago I was just fatigued and unable to take things further with the proximity I had to the project and the singleminded focus. I'd been working on it for years at that point and learning how to write a novel in the process. Turns out working on another project is helpful to see things in a new light.
I'm still thinking about the best way to approach it, but I think I'll get a big piece of paper to start, and then brainstorm the parts that are the most successful and exciting that I would like to keep. And then see how the rest of the puzzle pieces fall around that.
It feels kind of luxurious to be back in charge after querying it for about a year.
(We'll see how far I can get before revisions for LOAF come back to me and I potentially despair at my workload. There's going to be so much to do.)
"The Dark Forest-- Thistleclaw, he would have known you told me," Heathertail stammers, always latching onto those small, pointless details. "As soon as you fell asleep, he would have killed you!" Breezepelt shrugs. "I wouldn't have ever slept again if it meant I could protect you, Heathertail."

Profesor Miodrag Živković o MATFu

Memories and the Future :: Day 28
Logan had both his hands on the steering wheel, the windshield wipers going at full speed to battle the Georgia rain as they sped down the road for a new destination. So many casualties, innocent lives taken, but at least they still had their family. He still had Johanna and Dusty, she still had her father and sister... They had each other, all of them. Some of the others that were in the group with them decided to stay back at the lake house, some decided to head north, and at least a truck full decided to go with them, three more people added to their little caravan of surviors. Logan was still the leader of sorts, he still thought he did a terrible job at leading, but everyone seemed to respect him, they followed him, and Johanna. Kind of like they were the King and Queen of the land of the dead. It be kind of cool if it wasn't so fucked up.
Logan sighed, glancing at Lizzie, Dustin, and Johanna's father all snuggled up in the back, Lizzie in the middle with tired eyes. "How's everyone holding up?" He asked as he looked at them, before looking over at Johanna, his hand going to hers, squeezing it gently, "Are you alright? Anyone need pee breaks? Anything?" He questioned as he glanced around at the faces, before turning back to the road, smiling a little. "You know Joey, I keep thinking about that damn dress you wore the first time I saw you." He admits, chuckling as he looks over at her, "You remember? The white one, with uh, flowers I think."
We took a sneak peak inside Mozes and the Firstborn's rehearsal space, where the boys played their debut single ‘I Got Skills’ in front of our cameras. Take a look:
Mozes and the Firstborn will be performing at Best Kept Secret festival on Saturday, June 22.
