Mathiasen - october people cassette bundle (CR11) $8 + shipping (edition of 20)
our newest physical item is a beautiful blue cassette containing Mathiasen's two 2014 EPs, october people (side A) and Moon Phases (side B). Moon Phases is comprised of cold and clear textures, woven together with field recordings and samples from jazz and classical music. october people is the antithesis, a warm and hazy synth-centric release perfectly suited for a jog through falling leaves.
you can pre-order the cassette now through our store, and download both albums for free at Mathiasen's store. cassettes will be shipping out mid-November.
Buy "New Brutes/New Static" here: http://detectivework.bandcamp.com/album/new-brutes-new-static One of my favourite albums of the year. This is a remix of one of my songs of the year.
GTB's third New Artist Sampler is now available!
It's that time of year again - nature's in bloom and so is GTB. Unless you're reading this in the Southern Hemisphere, which we don't believe in. To commemorate the changing of the seasons, we've signed these four incredible artists whose talents are definitely worth sharing.

This is the third installment of a weekly project I'm doing called Covers of the Weak. Every friday afternoon, I spend a couple hours covering/remixing/reimagining a song that I like. Once I have a bunch of them, I'll put them on Bandcamp as a free compilation. If you like this one, you can check out the first installment (Oneohtrix Point Never's "Betrayed in the Octagon"), and the second installment (the theme music from Seinfeld).
This started as a cover but ended up turning into a remix as I added more and more samples of the original song and decided not to sing on it or anything like that. It's a little glitchy, and there's also a bit of a Clams Casino feel going on some of the time.
