Crockett Johnson
Crockett Johnson, most famous for Harold and the Purple Crayon, also did some gorgeous math art based on famous theorems. Here's a gallery of it all - and wow.
Pictured here: Hippocrates of Chios' homothetic triangles, 3-4-5 triangle in Durer's scalene perspective, Pascal's Theorem projective hexagon, and a proof of the Pythagorean Theorem.
And there are more than 80! Go check it out.
Via Joseph Nebus, who does a blog series on math comics, and was covering a quite good math joke in Crockett's comic Barnaby.
