I'll be real I'm not sure how to feel about Burning Spice' new costume like on one hand it's pretty cool, they put his hair up, the axe is cool but I'm kind of disappointed??

Like every other beast costume was somewhat connected to their story or them in one way or the other and for Burning Spice they did Arcade? Something he's not connected to in the slightest? I guess it makes a little bit of sense for golden cheese but for him not at all.

They could have made an upgraded version of herald of change and that'd fit perfectly well.

Also they released his costume while mystic flours banner is still up, that feels forced. Ik they want to release all costumes before silent salts release but this feels half assed.

I love burning spice and sure he's not a fan favorite but I think even then he deserved something better at least so his costume didn't stand out in such a weird way next to the other beasts

I managed to get it after like 30 pulls and I've been saving cubes just for him so at least that's done. To be clear I don't dislike the costume, I just think that after what they did for the other beasts it could have been much better. (And golden cheese got a much worse one imo so there's that).

Edit: I'm trying my best to like it cuz I've been waiting for it so long but I can't, it looks bad, the colors don't work on him at all I'm so disappointed man.

Okay so I personally don't like people portraying him as a moron (that's just my take u do what u want). I believe that since he used to be Herald of Change/History he does know shit, I think he'd be best at strategy considering how familiar he became with all patterns of life especially war. Now he's not the smartest beast by far but he's not stupid or at least not as stupid as people assume.

The way I see it he's somehow familiar to Mauga from overwatch in the way he wants people to underestimate him, he wants people to believe he's all brawn no brain or however that saying goes, cuz it gives him an advantage in the long run and it's rly entertaining to see people's realization of what a huge threat he can actually be. After corruption I think he might have embraced being spontaneous over strategy due to boredom and simply because not knowing how a fight will turn out gave him some sort of excitement. Knowing how everything will go gets boring really quick after all.

This is how I see him when I draw him etc. As someone who's mostly batshit insane and silly but someone who can get serious and get shit done if needed.

I think his backstory is rly interesting, because it's understandable why he corrupted. Being the Herald of Change and seeing the same shit happen over and over, no matter what people do or what he does to help all kingdoms end in ruin and the cycle goes on. It got so frustrating he wanted to cause some change on his own with his own hands no matter how brutal it was. He probably became numb to all that suffering after witnessing it so much before which may be why he doesn't rly care about people around him much.

All beasts are rly interesting especially when u try to look deeper into them, they're all quite tragic for different reasons.
