A couple of hours ago, I got back from spending today at the Birmingham MCM Comic Con with my circle of friends, to which I went in my Neo cosplay! 🌟💙 As it is every year, it was a bit overstimulating at points - making me dissociate at those moments - but still a very superb day. I brought along with me the prop I found on Etsy of Neo's work badge from his Bluepill life and wore that towards the end, and lmao I was offered a free sticker out of the blue by one vendor which you can see in one of the pictures below.

But more notably, as well as going to an art table where I got to decorate and take away with me a little trinket plate, one of the very first things I found at the con was a Tubbz aisle, which had the promptly-bought ducks of Trinity and Smith. 🤩🔥

The other stuff I bought at comic con today were a couple of bee things, one a sticker and the other a cow-bee keyring, a really pretty ring with leaves on it that were differently-coloured jewels, and a pair of stickers of Connor and Hank from Detroit: Become Human which were given to me with a free Connor and Hank bookmark. And one of my friends bought a little Miku Hatsune sticker for me. <3

Speaking of that same friend who bought me the Miku sticker, he went as Trinity, making the two of us a couple cosplay in a way! It was his request that I censor his face with a frog emoji in this post, because he loves frogs. 😆

Just finished CYBERPUNK 2077

It’s the perfect cyberpunk experience. Yes, an evil game corpo screwed over a lot of people, BUT they do offer a great escape from reality for those privileged enough to enjoy it. It’s has everything you would expect from a Western RPG, just dialed up to 11. I try not to think about it’s attempts to do pop philosophy because I think their message is pretty weak. That’s more of a personal thing though. It’s solid writing for a game, but that’s not why we game. We game because we want to customize our dick and balls and drive around and shoot and drink and blow shit up and feel like we have some control over our fate in a dystopian capitalist hellscape! That’s the future I believe in. It brings a tear to my eye just thinking about it....

Oh, and Keanu. We all love Keanu.

On the Friday night last weekend, I had three of my friends over at my house for the second half of a Matrix marathon that we got halfway through at one of the friends' places one night in August. As you can see, because this time it was my domain I had some time to set up themed snacks guarded by my Morpheus Tubbz duckie, and for some extra decor I set up my other Tubbz next to him, as well as laying out my Neo prop work badge that I found on Etsy a couple of years ago. 🎬🌟

Also, one of the other two mates and I both spent the evening in our costumes, with me as Neo and him as Trinity, as a continuation of when we did it for comic con a few months ago (it was his request that I once again censored his face with frog emojis in this post). 😍 Yes, as is shown in one of these pictures we took, I did indeed go the extra mile for the cosplay by giving him a little peck on the cheek. 🤗

For this one, my main thought was 'POV: you're Smith' LMAOOO.

Me and him even spent the next morning putting our Neo and Trinity costumes back on again and re-enacting some of the scenes! The first one is them looking out over the rooftops during the sunrise in Resurrections, the second is when Trinity gets shot in Reloaded and Neo restarts her heart, and I'm sure we can all recognise what's happening in the last one. 🔥💖

And he and both of the other friends did like all four of the movies! Now they can finally understand so many more of my lore references LMAO. They agree with me that Resurrections isn't as much bliss as the original trilogy, but we like to think of it as basically being an alternate continuity - basically as an AU ending in-universe that's separate from the continuity of the ending that we got from Revolutions, if that makes sense, and we all agreed that Neo and Trinity's relationship in Resurrections was very well-developed. And the friend who did the Trinity cosplay now wants to do his own marathon sleepover with us at some point but for the John Wick films! I've only ever seen the first one and, of course, it involves sweet Keanu. 🥰
