Entail

So I've been watching quite alot of Downton Abbey recently and so today I decided to try to figure out just what was a "entail". So I googled it, like what any normal human being would do and this is what I got:

en·tail/enˈtāl/

Verb:Involve (something) as a necessary or inevitable part or consequence.

Noun:A settlement of the inheritance of property over a number of generations so that it remains within a family or other group.

Synonyms: involve - necessitate - require

So there you have it, we now know what on earth it is. It actually finally makes since too!
