Engaged BAC Buddies
I had the privilege of being paired with two great students at The BAC. Together, we represented what I hope will be a continuing trend in architecture. We were mentored by a diverse group of professionals at AECOM, which inspired me to work toward greater diversity in the field. I am motivated to mentor and serve as an example for underrepresented individuals in the space of architecture.
An Enthusiastic Mentor
Mentorship at AECOM looks like a helping hand when you need it. Architects at AECOM find a way to fill in knowledge gaps for their peers while also offering chances for them to develop. A variety of complex issues can arise but at AECOM they utilize their network of professionals globally to find solutions. A mentor at AECOM is open to questions and is available to point you in the right direction. Conversely, a good mentee, is receptive to feedback and actively searching for ways to improve.
A Global Client
AECOM Projects like the red, blue connector represent a public project that exemplifies the culture of AECOM. The Red Blue connector will connect Cambridge to East Boston through Bowdoin station and Charles/MGH station, enhancing the fabric of Boston which AECOM is proud to be a part of. Projects like this one and many others through organizations like USAID, demonstrate the reach and commitment AECOM has to community building.

Intercultural Competence looks like having all the resources and materials necessary for your growth and development. Teams are encouraged to work with materials and methodologies to find innovative and creative ways to exceed client expectations. These resources combined with an awareness of the need for flexibility when meeting goals makes AECOM, an engaging work environment.
Workplace Collaboration!
The folks at AECOM are friendly, welcoming to questions, and always willing to give us students advice for our future careers. In the spirit of collaboration, AECOM has provided us with a wonderful introduction to how they completed the Boston Red Terminal E at Boston Logan Airport. We were given insight into how the project evolved from concept to finished product. With the collaboration of architects, designers, engineers, and contractors, an iconic building was born.

Originally from Texas, my background includes diverse experiences in pharmaceutical manufacturing and automotive technology. In my free time, I immerse myself in photography, capturing both natural and built environments. As I delve deeper into the field of architecture, I am driven by a passion to engage with and learn from a community of spatial thinkers and creative minds.
