Have you been affected by the recent floods? Or you feel youre in a storm? Focus your eyes back to God and He will always see you through it and sometimes he has to allow things to test you to make you stronger. Focus your eyes back to God in all you do, he's got your back. It's says in Matthew 14:31 "immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught Peter and he of little faith why do you doubt" Don't lose heart just have faith and trust our Lord and his plan for you. . . . #jesusandpeter #matthew14 #yeoflittlefaith #fishlake #yorkshirefloods #scriptureart #jesuswalksonwater #inspirationalart #jesussaves #faithillustrated #bibleartworship #christianartist #christianart #bibleart #watercolorinspiration #watercolorhands #mondayart #watercolor_artist #godsaves #peterwalksonwater #faithfulart #watercolorplanet #womenintheword #womenoffaith #illustratedfaithdaily2019 (at Sheffield) https://www.instagram.com/p/B6I__lJpLeN/?igshid=3gdh92tkb0zm

Fear
The wind and the waves were raging, tossing the disciples back and forth on the sea. A figure was walking on the water some distance away from their boat. The disciples were afraid and thought it was a ghost. The figure called out to them saying "Take heart; It is I. Do not be afraid." Peter, knowing it was Jesus, then cried out "Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water." He called him out and Peter began to walk on the water with Jesus. Peter then saw the wind and the waves and began to sink in the sea. He cried out "Lord, save me." Jesus immediately reached for Peter and saved him. This is a familiar account found in Matthew 14. We hear this story quite often. Usually the application we take from it is that we need to have faith like Peter to get out of the boat. Or we need to fix our eyes on Jesus and not become distracted by sin around us. The lesson I want you to take today is simple. When Peter saw the wind and the waves, he was afraid. He realized that he could easily drown in that water. So he began to sink. Yes, Peter was drowning. But who was still standing on top of that water? Jesus Christ. Jesus was standing on top of the very thing that Peter feared. He was conquering Peter's fear in that moment, and He saved him! He's still on top of our fears today. He still defeats and controls our fears today. We often let our fears hold us back, but Jesus is in control. He can and will handle your fears. After all, Jesus did say to the disciples "Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid." Don't be afraid. Jesus is there for you and can wipe out your fear.
In life, it can be so easy & even appear wise to shrink from our greatness. What makes this easy to do is our personal feelings of doubt, fear & inadequacy. Do not let those negative, debilitating, stifling & dream killing thoughts decide your actions & fate. Instead, before "you are/become," believe in who you shall be. & take the necessary giant leaps of faith to become your greatest & highest self! #KreateYourDestiny #KreateYourGodSelf #KerseWords #Matthew14:22-31 Message - As soon as the meal was finished, he insisted that the disciples get in the boat & go on ahead to the other side while he dismissed the people. With the crowd dispersed, he climbed the mountain so he could be by himself & pray. He stayed there alone, late into the night. Meanwhile, the boat was far out to sea when the wind came up against them & they were battered by the waves. At about four o’clock in the morning, Jesus came toward them walking on the water. They were scared out of their wits. “A ghost!” they said, crying out in terror. But Jesus was quick to comfort them. “Courage, it’s me. Don’t be afraid.” Peter, suddenly bold, said, “Master, if it’s really you, call me to come to you on the water.” He said, “Come ahead.” Jumping out of the boat, Peter walked on the water to Jesus. But when he looked down at the waves churning beneath his feet, he lost his nerve & started to sink. He cried, “Master, save me!” Jesus didn’t hesitate. He reached down & grabbed his hand. Then he said, “Faint-heart, what got into you?” Verse 30-31 NRSV - But when he noticed the strong wind,he became frightened, & beginning to sink, he cried out, “Lord, save me!” 31 Jesus immediately reached out his hand & caught him, saying to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?” "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. ~ @mariannewilliamson
