Neil is sitting on the floor, leaning back against the couch, his laptop open on his lap. He's trying to watch an exy game but his eyes are failing him. Andrew notices from where he's perched on the couch behind him, but just as he's about to say something Neil's head drops, his laptop almost falling to the side. Andrew slowly gets up, takes the laptop and pauses the game before placing it on the couch. He's debating what he should do with the sleeping boy when a soft knock on the door interrupts him.

He opens it only slightly to find Matt standing there. He clears his throat trying not to make direct eye contact with Andrew, but that proves to be harder than he thought.

'Uh, hi. Neil here?'

Instead of answering Andrew moves to the side, motioning towards Neil's sleeping figure in the middle of the room.

'Today must have been exhausting for him.' Matt whispers. Andrew doesn't say anything at that, causing Matt to go silent for a moment, carefully choosing his next words. He really doesn't want Andrew kicking him out just yet.

'That can't be comfortable,' He says at last, gesturing towards Neil. His head is hanging at an awkward angle, but his face looks so peaceful.

'Sure isn't,' Andrew says, crossing his arms over his chest. He keeps a bored expression on his face when he continues, 'Want to carry him to the bed?'

Matt freezes for a moment, his mouth going completely dry. Was he being too obvious? Or is Andrew just that good at guessing people's thoughts? He doesn't trust his voice and instead just nods. That doesn't seem to be enough for Andrew, seeing as he is still standing in the doorway, blocking his path.

'Yes, yes I do. Uh, can I?' Matt says, finally letting his eyes meet Andrew's. He can feel his heart in his throat at the way the shorter boy holds the eye contact, before finally moving from the door, and letting him cross the room toward Neil.

He crouches down, and carefully takes Neil into his arms. All the while he's hyper-aware of Andrew's eyes burning holes at the back of his head. Neil stirs for only a moment, but melts right into him the second he realizes it's Matt who is holding him. Matt's familiar, strong arms keep him steady as he carries him toward his and Andrew's bed. Andrew watches the whole time, noting how easily Matt maneuvers him into bed, ever so careful with his touches.

Neil whines when Matt's warmth leaves him, reaching out and grabbing his hand. Matt pets his head as he whispers to him to go back to sleep, still thinking about Andrew's eyes on him. His eyes are reserved for Neil though, he tucks a few strands of hair behind his ear before turning around to see Andrew handing him a soft blanket. He carefully places it over Neil, making sure that he is comfortable.

'He still remembers that one time you kissed his forehead when you tucked him in,' Andrew suddenly says, sounding way closer than he was just a moment ago.

Matt goes completely still, muttering a few unintelligible words as he slowly turns around to look at Andrew. He is afraid of the expression he might find on Andrew's face, but he is relieved when he finds him looking almost bored.

It seems as if a year passes before Andrew speaks again, his voice quiet but firm.

'You should do it more often.'
