Just realized that if Etik exists in YDT then so does Maureno and Groe. Here’s the thing tho they already have human versions and those human versions are significantly different from the badgertree versions. So I can either bring back Maurice or do a human Maureno and idk which one I wanna do… cuz Maurice is kinda just a stir crazy Atchkie like she has a totally different vibe from Maureno

I just want you guys to know how the different versions of these characters compare cuz y’all don’t even know about the #original.

Maurice!! She was sent away to live on a boat in the middle of the ocean to avoid being used as leverage against her parents!! She can’t leave her houseboat because of debilitating landsickness!! He’s deeply lonely and now resides in a wave pool inside a huge building in his boat!! The only people who visit him are the magically talented dictator of the country who killed their predecessor and Groe, who is a foreign magic professor! Groe hates everyone in the country except for Maurice because Groe was tortured by this countries government during The War! I have so much lore … I think this would be a good comic to work on as like, a less perfect more sketchy thing than loose stitches..

I love making different versions of the same characters and using them in different stories. Like yes they’re madly in love in this story, yes they’re divorced in that story, yes one of them killed the other one brutally in this story (but he got better omg why is it even a big deal it was so long ago!!)

Maurice is a different character from Maureno who is a different character from Maureno Badger but you guys really only know about maureno badger cuz i developed her while i had this tumblr account
