A Cute Surprise
Word count: 1,121
Warnings: none just fluff
Summery: Y/N is deaf and has the ability to make anything she imagines come true. She's new to the tower and Peter wants to get to know her, so he surprises her.
I hope you like it. Feed back is welcomed. I'm high key proud of it.
"Alright this is where you're gonna be staying. You'll be sharing the same floor as Wanda but she's not gonna be around much with missions and training." Tony said walking backwards out of the elevator. Following him quietly was a girl hands behind her back with a plain express.
They walked passed the Avengers having an almost normal little family feast Wanda and Vision made. The girl quickly glanced over them all but one person stood out specifically. A young boy with fluffy brown hair and brown eyes. He was goofy and unsure in his movements. She found it amusing but quickly moved on in the room with Tony.
After getting settled in she felt a little hungry. She walked to the kitchen slowly unsure if all the Avengers were still there.
She was relieved to see the Avengers had left but saw the young boy washing a bunch of dishes by himself. As easy as it would've been to leave she walked up to him, tapping him on the shoulder.
"Why are you washing so many dishes?" She signed. Tony had created some gloves that would track what she was signaling and say it out loud so that she could interact with the Avengers who didn't know sign language.
"Oh they had to go on an emergency mission thing, so I thought I would be nice and wash the dishes for them." He spoke fast so it was slightly harder for Y/N to read his lips but she understood.
"Can I help?" She awkwardly rocked on her tippy toes then to the balls of her heels. She really didn't like the talking to much and was just your average awkward teenager but there was a lot of dishes and she would've felt bad if she didn't ask.
"Yeah, if you want to." Peter stepped aside to give her more room to help.
Y/N planned on helping in a different way that didn't involve having to touch a single dish. She closed her eye to concentrate then little worker elves appear washing the dishes. Peter taken back by the little elves suddenly appearing, let out a slight yelp.
"What is that? How did you do that? What are they doing?" He said turning to Y/N with wide eyes.
"They are elves, they will clean for us. I just imagined them and they appeared." She smiled at his shock. She enjoyed his different reactions. At first it was shock, then curiosity, turn to fear all within seconds. She didn't even know it was possible to express so many emotions in such little time.
"Whoa that's really cool! Do something else! Well if that OK with you, please." He subtlety begged.
"OK" She gestured for him to follow him to the living room.
She stood in a mostly empty part of the living room then looked at the floor a little ways away from her then a Pikachu appeared.
They spent hours battling Pokemons. They even moved furniture to have more room to battle. Hours of intense battle and concentration they didn't hear Wanda enter the living room. The also didn't hear her leave to get the rest of the Avengers to watch. The only thing that broke their concentration was someone clearing their throat.
"Why is there elves cleaning the entire kitchen? And what the hell are you guys doing?" Tony asked arms crossed and fighting off a smile.
Peter scrambled around to fix the furniture and Y/N got rid of the elves (who left the entire kitchen spotless) and the Pokemon and pokeballs.
"We were just uh, uh... We were- hey where you going? You can't leave" Peter asked Y/N seeing her trying to leave.
"I'm deaf, I can do whatever I want." After signing she turned and left with a smile.

After that day Peter and Y/N didn't talk or hangout that much. He found out that she could talk but didn't like doing it much. He learned a lot more about her, like how she was very shy, and almost did nothing but watch Netflix and read. But he didnt learn it from her talking to him, it was from over hearing it from the Avengers.
He wanted to get to know her. So in order to make her feel more comfortable he started learning sign language. He read as many books he could find about sign language and Googled as much as possible.
He wanted to wait until he was at least somewhat fluent in sign language to show her. Even though he wasn't close to that day he felt anxious just by the thought of it. He wasn't sure how she'd react, he was also afraid he would do it wrong and say something stupid.

When the day came Peter was super nervous but did everything he could to remain calm. He walked slowly to the Avengers living quarters slowly going over what he planned on saying to her. He practiced the signs he had trouble learning to really get it down and make sure he didn't mess up.
When he got into the elevator it really sunk in that if he messed up he'd look like a complete idiot. But despite the fear he left the elevator entering Y/N and Wanda's floor.
On his way walking to Y/N room he saw she was in the kitchen looking for something to eat. He turned walking towards her.
She saw him and waved with a light smile on her lips. He lifted the takeout he brought knowing it was Y/N's favorite. She took the message walking toward him but he but up his hand stopping her and placed the food on the counter.
"I brought this because I know it's your favorite. Hopefully your hungry." While he signed he watched her face light up with a big smile.
She hurried towards him giving him a tight hug. Then she let go of him, he then felt something crawl up him. It was a animated looking Spider-man with a big head.
The mini Spider-man jumped off him and landed onto the counter. Then he shot a web onto the ceiling doing a bunch of tricks with web. When he was done the web and the words 'Thank you' on it. The mini Spider-man jumped doing a backflip then disappearing.
Peter looked back at Y/N with a big smile matching her. A light blush spreading over his face when he realized how close you are with his one arm still around you.
"Thank you Peter. It means a lot." Y/N said.
"Anytime. " He smiles pulling you back into his chest not wanting to let you go.
