Reason:
“There is not enough appreciation for swingers in this world and I'm here to be that change. Plus the swinging works every which way. You have the canon couples of course (Michael X Lindsey, Gavin X Meg) but obviously you can make some Yuri & Yaoi out of them. But also Meg X Michael literally go by "Team Winners", and Gavin X Lindsey as "Team Losers". There is chemistry in every direction it's perfect!”
FAHC AU with hitmens!Gavin and rookie hitmens!Fiona who end up in Los Santos due to betrayal from their bosses/agency?
They manage to stay under the radar by posing as being known as a pair of generally competent criminal types? Hacker and muscle and both above average snipers. Know their tech and computer stuff, which is always a nice bonus.
Also, though?
Kind of idiots.
A lot of stories to back that up, but anyone looking to take advantage of them/consider them expendable or an acceptable loss meet with an ugly (bloody) end.
(No one realizes it for a long time since Gavin and Fiona know how to make something like that look like an accident, you know?)
Eventually they join the Fakes, where they run into the Battle Buddies again.
Relatively friendly enemies, although there was that one time Ryan shot Gavin in the back. Nothing personal, but still rude? But it’s all good because Fiona stabbed him in the side the next time they ran into one another.
(That time it was personal, just a little.)
Jeremy winged Fiona in a shootout in Spain, and she fucked up his pretty little sports car in Italy.
(They were on vacation at the time and Jeremy’s design choices have always been abysmal, and Ryan sent her a card and a bouquet of gourmet lolipops as a personal thank-you.)
Anyway.
Turns out the Battle Buddies also suffered betrayal at the hands of their superiors and went to regroup in Los Santos where Geoff and the others happened to them?
And then there’s Michael who was Gavin’s handler at the agency before he supposedly died on a mission with another hitmens, and oh, hey, look.
It’s Lindsay and apparenty the angecy betrayed them too? But it’s cool because Meg - hitmens/assassin in her own right and someone who came dangerously close to killing Gavin, Michael, and Lindsay on more than one occasion before everyhing got stupid complicared with the agency and its betrayals - came along and scooped them up and introduced them to the lucrative world of crime and doing crime?
At which point everyone looks at Geoff who is just “What the fuck?” at how all these assholes know one another and did Jack know about this?
Because look.
The two of them working for the military way back when and - shocker - betrayed by their superiors and then the wonderful, wacky word of crime and it’s honestly gotten ridiculous at this point?
But Meg - who’s in town for a bit to visit Lindsay and Michael and has been eyeing Gavin up becuase it’s been a while since that night in that Paris where they had that knife fight on the roof of a fancy hotel which was the sexy/dangerous kind of fun and such - is like.
“So are you guys finally going to get revenge for shit or what?”
And then a lot of government agencies - sekrit, shady, ones - learn what it means to be very fucking sorry about their past actions and idk, just everyone being more or less in the same boat cracks me up?
(Especially with Geoff being like how the hell did this happen because really, you know, really).
As does the thought of Gavin and Fiona feigning idiocy (well, stupidity, really) and secretly being >:DDDDDDDDDDDD about it???
ive been randomly diving back into really old trivial pursuit lets play and listen. I need to say a thing.
yall joke about michael being moron-sexual with lindsay and gavin. and he is. but that boy has never held a braincell in his life either. they’re all idiots together. gavin takes the one brain cell they can have for slow mo vids and no one else touches it besides that.
okay, so I think I’ve figured out roles for the majority of the main cast. I’ll be adding people and changing things around a bit as I go, but I’ll also have to remind myself of the plot and characters (also places) of the og sun/moon since I haven’t played them in a bit and I haven’t finish either ultra yet. Anyways, here’s where everyone stands at the start of the story:
Gavin: ex-trainer and rookie ranger assigned to assist Geoff in investigating the sightings of strange and new pokemon in the Alola region
Geoff: ex-rocket member and senior ranger assigned to investigate the sightings of weird new pokemon in Alola. Mentor and father-figure to Gavin.
Michael: electrician and ex-skull member. boyfriend to Lindsay and grudging companion to Geoff and Gavin.
Lindsay: Aether Foundation volunteer and ex-skull member. girlfriend to Michael and a shameless flirt.
Jeremy: Team Skull admin and friend to Gus. Overseer of a squad of grunts and “handler” of Matt. Currently leading grunts on a mission to locate a special missing pokemon for the Aether Foundation. Fed up with Matt’s laziness and refusal to help them in any way, but willing to deal with it for possible information about Ryan.
Matt Bragg: Ex-security for the foundation. “Assigned” to Team Skull to aid them in the quest for the missing pokemon after he failed to prevent the theft in the first place. Mildly amused by Jeremy’s intensity and attempts to force him to participate. Ryan’s only way to contact the outside.
Meg: On the run with a stolen legendary pokemon after discovering the true intentions of Hullum and the Aether dimensional labs. Good friend and ex-coworker of Ryan’s and playing as an assistant to Professor Burns while she tries to find someone to help her take the Foundation down.
Ryan: head dimensional researcher at the Aether Paradise. Currently being investigated for possible involvement in the disappearance of Meg and the infant legendary. Hates what he’s being forced to do, but holds on to buy time for Meg so he can hopefully avoid being arrested after the mess is over and go find that grunt he really liked (Jeremy).
Jack: Ex-trainer and breeder from Kanto who is visiting Alola for the purpose of looking into the alolan forms of pokemon. Old acquaintance of Geoff who is more than willing to help them out when they run into each other.
Fiona: Skull grunt under Jeremy who isn’t afraid to knock some sense into her admin. “bullies” Matt and refuses to believe that the foundation has no ulterior motive other than finding a lost pokemon (well-founded conclusion, but others claim she’s paranoid). powerful trainer more than capable of the trials, but enjoys causing trouble and the camaraderie of the team too much to leave.
Burnie: Pokemon professor of the Alola region. Recently hired Meg as his assistant after she explained a watered-down version of her struggle. Also “secretly” a famous battle royal competitor.
Gus: Current leader of Team Skull and very suspicious of the Aether Foundation. Willing to work with them because it helps his people for now, but won’t hesitate to turn on them.
Hullum: Founder and current head of the Aether Foundation. Very angry that Meg managed to escape with the legendary in tow and at Matt for not acting quickly enough to prevent it. Very suspicious of Ryan for his connection with the girl. Overly invested in traveling to the Ultra dimension (correct me if I'm wrong about the name) and taming the ultra beasts.
