I know it’s not like, unexpected to anybody for verlaine to call chuuya his brother in the manga bc he said it in stormbringer, but I do feel like it’s notable considering that when he said that in the book it was because he thought chuuya was an artificial human like himself. for verlaine to still call him brother feels like a bit of character development for verlaine who felt like humans could never understand him. even if chuuya turned out to be human he still feels like they have a special bond which is sweet to me
